Budget Blinds is Now Hiring a contract window treatment Sales Design Consultant to join our growing company.Our goal is simple: to provide the best products and services, if you are looking to work towards theses same Goals while earning:

Job Summary: The position of design consultant is the key contact to the customer in helping them in the decision process on selecting the best window treatment for their respective application and driving the process to a sale. This position will be responsible for scheduling their own appointments and relaying the results of the appointment to the office. Until the sales component is “full time” the design consultant will generate new sales by contacting individuals in the trade who specify window treatments i.e. interior designers, realtors, commercial lease brokers, builders & contractors, etc. This position will also generate leads organically by canvassing and/or working at home shows.

Required Skills/Experience: Experience in selecting, costing and negotiating the sale of all forms of window treatments strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated skills influencing customers to select products offered in portfolio. A strong customer orientation is essential as are solid time management and planning skills. Experience with Budget Blinds portfolio of soft and hard window treatments preferred. Ability to travel throughout franchise area in company provided vehicle.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (in order of priority)

  • Customer Sales. Duties include but not limited to: Contact customer from generated lead to schedule appointment. Work with customer to find window covering solution and provide proposal leading to sale. If sale is not completed on the spot, follow up with client to drive proposal to a sale or closure. Return all paperwork to local office for order placement. Canvas “5 to the left, 5 to the right”.
  • Develop relationships to generate leads. Contact and schedule meetings with: Local interior designers, realtors, commercial property brokers, etc. to develop a “top of mind” relationship with regards to window covering suppliers.
  • Work neighborhoods to develop leads within the territory. Home show support and sales.
  • Office support. Provide coverage to office staff in case of absences.
