National Sales Manager- Retail and Distribution

GENERAL SUMMARY :

Responsible for planning, managing, coordinating and the performance of the complete effort for Schiller Grounds Care, Inc.’s Retail and National Account sales function as well as the East Coast Distribution territory for assigned product lines. Work with internal contacts to set goals and strategy within the sales organization as it pertains to Retail and Distribution. Manage and cultivate relationships with large mass merchants including such online and brick-and-mortar retailers as Amazon, Home Depot and Lowes. The National Sales Manager will be a brand ambassador keeping the Core Values of Customer Focus, Teamwork, Positivity, Passion, Expertise, Perseverance and Results in the forefront of everything they do.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDED BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Create, manage and execute the strategic sales plan and targets for SGC national account and retail business and assigned distributor accounts, evaluating and making adjustments as needed to ensure the achievement of revenue and profitability goals.
  • Own and drive the complete sales process for existing retail, national accounts and distributor accounts and open new markets for designated brands.
  • Identify, partner with, support and develop new retail and national accounts to create a market presence
  • Determine and plan programs through collaboration with company management to support the activity of the retail partners . Maintain contact with operations to assess product quality, promptness of order processing, deliveries, technical services and parts, warranty satisfaction to ensure customer satisfaction and proactively anticipate and address problems
  • Provide timely forecast and reports containing pertinent to demand and production planning
  • Appraise existing company products against competitor lines and where warranted, implement changes in sales techniques or pricing strategy and recommend product improvements and new product introductions to the product managers
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments germane to the function and industry
  • Represent and lead the company in trade organizations and expositions applicable to the accounts and brands

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED TO PERFORM ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 7 years' sales experience, preferably in outdoor power equipment sales or similar
  • Minimum two years national account sales experience, preferably with Home Depot or Lowes.
  • Strong business analysis and analytical skills
