WM Fiduciary Advisory Specialist 2

Job Description:

As a member of the client's Special Needs Trust Services team, this position will be the primary contact for Special Needs Trust Services in the Southeast Region and serve as the regional subject matter expert in fiduciary advice and consultation around special needs trusts.

Primary day-to-day activities will involve:

  • Serving as the relationship manager of a complex book of special needs trusts
  • Assisting internal partners with consultation and advice on the special needs trusts on which they serve as relationship manager
  • New client acquisition in the $1MM and greater market through the development of relationships with internal partners and external Centers of Influence including attorneys specializing in the drafting of special needs trusts and personal injury attorneys.

The position requires fiduciary knowledge around special needs trust administration, knowledge of wealth planning as it relates to special needs trusts, investment knowledge (asset allocation, multiple asset class usage, risk management) and client acquisition skills.

The position collaborates with Center Administration team on compliance/risk issues and service delivery.

Developing new and retaining current WM relationships is a key function of the role.

Required:

6+ years of financial planning experience, estate planning experience, or a combination of both in wealth management

Desired:

Wealth management experience with net worth clients of at least two million dollars

Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Extensive knowledge and understanding of financial and estate planning, fiduciary/trust, wealth transfer, leverage, multiple asset class usage, asset allocation strategies, and taxation

Solid knowledge and understanding of fiduciary law and federal regulations

Strong presentation skills

Other Desired:

Strong research skills
Certified Trust and Financial Advisor (CTFA)
An active Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation
A Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctorate (JD)

Job Expectations:

Individuals in Loan Originator (LO) positions must meet the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau qualification requirements and comply with related client policies. The LO qualification requirements include meeting applicable financial responsibility, character, general financial fitness and criminal background standards. A current credit report will be used to assess your financial responsibility and credit fitness, however, a credit score is not included as part of the evaluation. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening, if necessary.
