Customer Service Representative

The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will be responsible for answering incoming and placing outbound calls to customers. This position will be responsible for managing assigned accounts which require the ability to process purchase orders, arrange shipments, and work with multiple departments. In addition, the CSR will proactively keep the customers informed as to the current status of their purchase orders. The CSR will fully manage the customers' needs from the order entry process to final shipment, and all points in between. This position requires a detailed, organized person with good time management skills, and the ability to interact with team members and cross functional teams. Responsibilities: Must have experience in handling customer incoming and outgoing calls and e-mailsMust have the ability to learn technical material in a timely mannerWill be expected to check stock, give order status, and expedite product through manufacturing plantsMust be able to make good decisions independently, if necessaryWill communicate with internal and external customers, in order to create highly satisfied customersMust present themselves professionally to the customer at all timesWill work within the ERP database to ensure proficiency and effectiveness is maintainedResponsible for handling front-line customer transactions that should be handled in an efficient, professional and courteous mannerWill manage assigned customer accounts from initial contact to completion to ensure customer satisfactionWill have general account responsibility and customer interactionWill handle basic project/account managementWill visit customer sites as needed, under supervisionExpected to make suggestions regarding process improvementsWill be required to know when to escalate account issuesRequires excellent problem solving and interpersonal skillsMust have the ability to work in a fast paced, results-driven environment Will have basic knowledge of Toshiba s productsDevelop skills necessary to handle more complex customer transactions Travel: Limited as neededEDUCATION/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: HS Diploma, 2 or 4 year degree preferred SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 2-8 years Tools/Equipment: Phone, MS Office, ERP, CRM PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs WORK ENVIRONMENT: General office environment, with occasional exposure to manufacturing environment
