Guest Service Team Leader

You

  • Identify the root causes of problems and develop and implement action plans to achieve performance goals
  • Champion new technology and processes to grow sales and incorporate digital routines into store culture
  • Supervise and coach the team to ensure excellent in-stocks with minimal outs to grow sales

  • Maintain brand standards in all areas of the store, including offstage areas
  • Follow, and hold team members accountable to, all safety guidelines, operating procedures, and product freshness and quality standards; follow up when guidelines or procedures are not followed and remove/replace items when freshness or quality standards are not met
  • Appropriately use and care for in-store and personal protective equipment; ensure all items are accounted for per equipment control guidelines
  • Leverage appropriate escalation tools to solve process and/or guest issues; notify leader(s) as needed
  • Stay current on sales, service and operational metrics to drive profitability

Front End and Sales Floor Core Role

Guest Service Team Leader

  • Eliminate guest wait by being active and visible at the front lanes, resolve problems at all service areas within 60 seconds and respond to all alerts promptly
  • Ensure service areas are never above the maximum 1+1 standard of one guest being checked out and one guest waiting
  • Ensure Guest Service Desk team members are empowered to use reasonable discretion when following the Return and Ad Match policies for each guest; resolve guest questions, problems and complaints in a fast, friendly and courteous manner
  • Ensure team members are knowledgeable about Target’s loyalty programs and communicate them to encourage guests to participate

Sales Floor Team Leader

  • Support the transition process by planning pre-transition activities, following pre-transition merchandising guidelines to ensure all non-carryforward merchandise is out of the backroom, and working closely with the presentation team to get all sets done on time
  • Establish consistent routines and lead the team to ensure departments are zoned, in-stock, signed and labeled appropriately

Senior Team Leader

  • Lead by example.
  • Set precedent that guests are our #1 priority.
  • Perform area-specific team leader core roles.
  • Perform additional leader on duty (LOD) responsibilities,, including overseeing total store operations, responding to guest service requests, prioritizing and delegating team member workload and responding to staffing concerns and call-ins.
  • Complete Food Safety Certification training. Lead the team to ensure food safety standards are maintained.

Job Requirements

Minimum Requirements

  • High School degree or equivalent.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
  • Demonstrated ability of basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Intranet systems, CCTV systems, etc.).

Physical Ability

  • Able to read instructions, reports and information on computer screens and to enter information on computers.
  • Able to climb and descend ladders.
  • Able to access all areas of the building to respond to guest or team member issues.
  • Able to access and move around all areas of the store quickly.
  • Able to lift 40 lbs.
  • Able to continually move around all areas of store on a daily basis.
  • Able to handle all products sold by Target.

Availability

  • Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours) and regular attendance necessary.
