Sales & Account Executive

Overview
Innovative catering company seeking a catering sales manger, who possesses an ethical philosophy, identifies opportunities, communicates effectively, is creative, and provides an invaluable service of creating loyal customers. This is done through providing special event solutions, which create environments conducive to realizing their customer’s goals. This person acts as an ambassador of the company and ensures exceedingly high levels of customer satisfaction, thereby creating a professional reputation, long term relationships and a good feeling about what they do each day.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identify, research, analyze and develop new opportunities and new clients.
  • Establish contact with opportunities, manage customer evaluation and follow up to maintain and grow client relationships

Sales & Marketing

  • Sell exciting and innovative catered events throughout the Chicago land area.
  • Meet or exceed agreed upon yearly gross annual sales target by Director of Sales.
  • Respond to a yearly business development and marketing plan that outlines a clear strategy for social business that is supported by predictable monthly revenue, especially from October to March.
  • Forecast, develop and help implement and articulate specific marketing needs to help increase brand recognition, recall and affinity with the company.
  • Attend monthly sales meetings and be prepared to discuss status of leads, prospects, and secured client.
  • Generate proposals using industry specific software that are accurate and timely.

Relationship Building

  • Effectively manage our company’s relationships, with specialty attention paid bridal venues and foster relationships with non-exclusive venues by engendering trust with venue managers and procuring sale opportunities.
  • Where appropriate, work with event planners in servicing their clients and satisfying both parties and protects profitability of events.
  • Collaborate closely with other sales account executives at our company in processing leads, prospects and clients between each other.
  • Foster client retention and referrals for follow-on business.
  • Identify new business opportunities that can increase profitable sales.
  • Cultivate exclusive venue opportunities.
  • Review post-event reports and determine specific improvements to rectify company errors; enter information into client database and follow up with client if necessary.

Reports To : Director of Outside Sales

Budget Responsibilities: Sales Goals put together quarterly with DOS and Accounting

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Experience in sales, travel / leisure or culinary industry.
  • Proficient in professional computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google Systems & industry specific software.
  • Excellent people skills & verbal skills.
  • Extraordinarily organized.
  • Good interrelations skills both outside and inside the office.
  • Strong client skills adding value by building trust and long-term relationship.
  • Team oriented – works well with a team.
  • Evening and weekend work is required dependent upon event schedule.
