Developer

The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Sr. Developer should lead, architect and develop projects to improve efficiency and streamline processing. Proactively Identify areas in need of efficiency improvement and streamline potential through automation.
Key Responsibilities:
? Ability to understand requirements and come up with solution architecture for a given use case
? Provides technical expertise in the examination and definition of objectives for existing or proposed systems and in the design of improved systems utilizing information services.
? Evaluates and recommends various technical solutions to meet requirements. Provides system configurations and interface strategies.
? Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
? Performs problem solving on most complex projects and issues.
? Researches new developments in hardware and software. Maintains currency in techniques and tools enabling system proficiencies and performance improvements.
? Diagnose, analyze and resolve production issues and provide L3 support
Required Qualifications:
? Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
? 10+ years of JEE experience with strong fundamentals in developing web applications, multi-threading and resource management activities
? 6+ year of experience developing web applications using Java 8, Spring 4+
? Experience with automate testing with Spring Test, Junit, Mickito
? Minimal client side programming with jQuery, bootstrap , HTML5
? Experience with working SQL and NoSQL databases, reading/writing different file formats (delimited files, excel, PDF, etc.) through Java, file transmission protocols (SSH, SFTP, FTP, FTPS)
? Minimal experience with Linux commands and scripts
? Experience working with Eclipse & Git workflows, code review and Agile methodology.
? Experience working with SOA & Micro-services utilizing REST, SOAP etc.
? Experience working in a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environment and familiar with Jenkins, TeamCity, Code Quality Tools - SonarQube, etc.
Preferred skills:
? Experience in using ETL/ELT tools like Talend, DataStage, Informatica or Ab-Initio
? Experience with modern MVC/MVVM client libraries like AngularJS
? Understanding and applying application security using Spring Security
? Experience with working structured (delimited, XML, JSON) and unstructured (Excel) data formats
? Working knowledge of various open source libraries and utilizing them for solution delivery
? Strong fundamentals in creating and calling web services with web security policies
? Exposure to Big data fundamentals and data formats

? Actively participate and contribute to on-going team discussions around architecture, re-use, and technical specification
 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience
  • Master’s degree preferred
