The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices, as well as online and digital channels.

The Product Strategy and Delivery Team is currently hiring talented Product Managers to lead and own products within Home Lending’s digital origination line of business.  

The Product Manager is responsible for full life cycle product management.  This includes gathering and prioritizing product and customer insights and requirements, shaping the product vision, collaborating with cross-functional partners to define benefits, epics and features, coordinating with delivery partners on iterative discovery, product development, articulating the value proposition of the product to customers and stakeholders, and tracking and optimizing the performance of the product based on data analytics.  This also includes working with support partners to ensure revenue, customer satisfaction goals and outcomes are met in alignment with the company’s overall strategy and goals.

In particular, the role of the Product Manager is to:

  • Define product strategy and roadmaps and oversee program execution of key product areas
  • Lead business and operational planning, fostering market-leading and customer-centric innovation, prioritizing product initiatives and coordinating on the evaluation, deployment, implementation and management of current and future products
  • Define and measure key business metrics to track and optimize customer and business value
  • Work across internal stakeholders during planning, execution and ongoing operations to optimize capabilities and align expectations
  • Create budgets and financial justification for product business decisions
  • Define customer needs and use that knowledge to define business cases that solve customer problems and maximize value to be delivered
  • Leverage the skills of team members to define the vision and strategy for products and lead product team for optimum execution

Location preferences are Minneapolis, MN; West Des Moines, IA; San Antonio, TX; Charlotte, NC; or Phoenix, AZ.  Other locations within the Wells Fargo footprint may be considered.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
  • 6+ years of product management experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • Experience conducting market research, competitive analysis, and technology trend analysis
  • Experience with product positioning and articulating product benefits and value propositions to customers and stakeholders, including evaluation of business and product opportunities that incorporates financial forecasting and justification
  • Knowledge and understanding and empathy for customer needs and pain points, amplifying the voice of the customer throughout product development and delivery
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment, using analytical skills and orientation in making decisions
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, in particular with establishing and advocating points of view.
  • Ability to effectively build relationships and interact with all levels of the organization
  • Experience utilizing Product Management disciplines of leading, coaching, and motivating teams to deliver value in alignment with OKRs
  • Organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills with a bias to action
  • Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on an overall organization, generating creative alternatives and understanding trade-offs
  • Facilitation and collaboration skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization, translating data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Experience delivering software products using agile principles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of product management in the regulated financial services industry
  • Ability to bring successful products to market on time, incorporating a variety of development and delivery strategies (third party, insourcing, outsourcing)
  • Experience navigating matrixed organizations and teams with proven success in leveraging the right people and resources at the right time for consistent and dependable delivery of optimal value to the customer and the business
  • Experience with software development lifecycle management and tooling
  • Ability to assess the impact of new product initiatives on the organization
     


Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
