VMEC Propulsion Subsystem Validation Engineer

Job Requirements:
Proven experience in software validation including the following:• Experience with Systems Engineering process and requirements flow-down• Experience testing, calibrating, or developing hardware in electrification or powertrain• Experience with HiL benches (e.g. dSPACE), Simulink, Stateflow, ETAS INCA, CANALYZER and Vehicle Spy.• Proficient with computer and data acquisition systems• Experience in data analysis to optimize testing or model results• Demonstrated ability to successfully accomplish tasks under minimal direction• Excellent Planning and Problem-Solving skills• High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, and ability to establish Peer RelationshipsRequired Qualifications:BS Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science• Minimum of 2 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in job-related area required• Valid US Driver LicensePreferred Qualifications:• 5 years of experience with proven technical and professional skills in job-related area• Masters of Science in Engineering degree ( MEng, M.E. or M.Eng.)• Experience in scripting• Experience with vehicle and bench validation at component or subsystem level• Quick to learn, ambitious, and willing to work hands-on with GM's vehicles and benches.• Programming knowledge; vehicle systems• Strong technical capability and a creative attitude help develop original solution• Strong oral and written communication skills• Ability to work effectively within multi-disciplinary teams• Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal direction• Exposure to propulsion system calibration in test and vehicle environment• development• Familiarity with government test cycles (e.g., FTP, US06, WLTP, RDE)• Experience with Systems Engineering process and requirements flow-down• Knowledge of PRTS system and principals• Knowledge of RedX, DFSS, and other formal problem solving techniques• Level 2 MPG Driving Certification
