Talent and Development Manager

Calumet Specialty Products Partners, L.P. (NASDAQ: CLMT) is a master limited partnership and a leading independent producer of high-quality, specialty hydrocarbon products in North America. POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the HR Vice President, the purpose of this position is to manage Calumet’s Talent & Development programs and activity. The individual must be strategic in the sense of being able to think broadly with vision and deliver results through formal and informal influence of others, but also tactical in the sense of maintaining strong HR service delivery and addressing day-to-day matters and solving routine-to-complex problems that emerge.


DETAILED ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Talent & Development Manager provides leadership to organization-wide talent and development initiatives with the aim of building organizational capability to meet business objectives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Talent Acquisition – Overall responsibility for leading and managing end-to-end talent acquisition processes across the company from sourcing of talent through onboarding and orientation.
  • Candidate Value Proposition – Develop and promulgate candidate value proposition to attract high quality talent.
  • Candidate Experience – Manage the talent acquisition process to provide an efficient and high-quality experience for candidates.
  • Candidate Assessment – Support the design, development, and delivery of candidate assessment processes.
  • Campus Recruitment – Lead campus recruitment activity.
  • Talent Management – Work with HR business partners and leaders to effectively execute key talent management initiatives including talent reviews, talent (9-box) calibration, succession planning, internal deployment, and workforce planning.
  • Employee Development – Lead the design, development and delivery of employee development tools and resources (Calumet 360 feedback process, Talent Toolkit, Mentoring Program, Training, etc.)
  • Career Development Programs – Design, develop and implement key early career development programs.
  • Learning & Development – Design, develop, and deliver key L&D interventions (i.e., training programs) to build individual and organizational capability.
  • Learning Management System (LMS) – Overall responsibility for ensuring effectiveness of LMS platform, including fit-for-purpose training programs, accurate training-profiles, and high levels of data quality.
  • Performance Measurement – Track, analyze and report all aspects of talent activity (talent acquisition, management, development, retention, etc.)
  • EEO/AAP – Subject matter expert (SME) and leader in managing EEO/AAP initiatives.
  • Project Management – Manage specific projects related to talent acquisition and talent management including but not limited to creating and Employee Value Proposition, Talent Management System (TMS) improvements, Retention initiatives, Inclusion & Diversity initiatives, etc.
  • Supervisory Responsibility – Lead, manage, and mentor HR direct reports.
  • Other Duties – Perform other duties as needed.

REQUIRED EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's Degree (preference for business or Human Resources)
  • Master’s Degree preferred

ESSENTIAL WORK EXPERIENCES

  • Minimum 3 years' experience recruiting both exempt and non-exempt roles
  • Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (Ceridian Dayforce Preferred but not required)
  • Proficiency in use of MS office suite (Excel, Word, PPT) internet searches and social media (LinkedIn)
  • Experience recruiting on multiple search platforms
  • Experience in talent management, including coordinating talent reviews, succession planning, high-potential programs, early-career development programs, etc.
