Alera Group Philadelphia is seeking a Consultant to join our Employee Benefits team.

The Consultant is responsible for the successful planning, management and coordination of all services provided to clients. Consultants work closely with Producers as well as support team members. Consultants must have strong health and welfare benefit program knowledge and experience to include design, funding, administration, compliance and communications. In addition, consultants must be able to coordinate special projects that may be required. Critical to the success of a consultant, is the ability to develop work plans, calendars and timelines and to coordinate the completion of deliverables to meet client deadlines. This position is highly client interactive and requires an organized, proactive, results-driven skill set with strong client management abilities.

    Possess the technical expertise required to service multiple accounts of varying complexityAbility to act as the primary point-of-contact for the client, either in conjunction with a senior consultant or AE or independentlyProvide high-touch professional service to assigned clientsManage key processes and internal activities necessary to meet client requirementsAbility to efficiently manage multiple projects for multiple clients simultaneouslyEstablish, build and maintain strong relationships with clientsDemonstrate initiative and ownership Keep informed and provide client support on current insurance markets, market trends, legislative requirements and industry changesAbility to act as vendor liaison. Prepare client financials and analysis of marketing resultsDevelop and coordinate client presentations and/or lead meetings with minimal supervisionDemonstrate effective working knowledge of carrier underwriting practices and processesCoach/mentor junior professionals and maintain constructive relationships with others in the firmAssist in defining client business needs and identify areas of opportunity to increase account growth and drive revenueParticipate in firm initiatives Pursue a program for personal and professional development
    PA Life and Health LicenseBachelors degree or equivalent experienceExcellent working knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)Strong rapport building skillsExcellent follow though and attention to detailStrong analytical skills and judgment Excellent written, communication and presentation skillsEffective time management skills with strong organizational and prioritization abilitiesAbility to work well in a fast paced, high pressure environmentRequires travel to service clientsAbility to work extended hours during peak periods
