Accounts Payable Clerk

The primary responsibility of the Accounts Payable Clerk is the accurate and timely posting of vendor invoices.  This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to work closely across many internal departments, as well as maintain vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will be a team player, have a positive attitude, and be able to meet strict deadlines.


  • Maintain full ownership of specific vendors/departments
  • Perform month end closing activities
  • Reconcile vendor accounts
  • Communicate with vendors and business partners via email to respond to payment inquiries, invoice questions, etc.
  • Accurate coding of invoices to proper GL codes and cost centers
  • Process check requests in a timely manner
  • Remain in compliance with all audit rules
  • Work as part of a team to ensure all deadlines are met

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma
  • Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge
  • Microsoft Excel (ability to perform V-lookups, create pivot tables, etc.)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • Ability to keep up with a large volume of work
  • Able to track and resolve issues independently
