The Digital Technology and Innovation (DTI) group supports the Corporate Strategy, Digital Platform & Innovation Business. Together they work closely to continue evolving Wells Fargo’s digital platforms and enhance integration of the innovation pipeline into our customer-facing capabilities.

The Commercial Banking Digital team within DTI is responsible for delivering world class digital products that serve our commercial and corporate customers financial needs. We are seeking a talented Engineering Sr. Manager to accelerate our digital transformation for our Commercial Electronic Office (CEO) platform that provides web and mobile access to a wide array of business services. Selected candidate is expected to have solid understanding of modern software engineering architecture, design, technologies and tool sets.

In this role you will partner with technology leaders, teams and stakeholders across Wells Fargo to define and deliver the platform vision, strategy, and roadmap supporting best-in-class customer experiences and driving measurable results across the organization. You are passionate about building top-performing teams that impact change at scale, delivering quality products that are feature-rich resulting in the utmost customer satisfaction.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Build and run a world-class engineering team keenly focused on customer success through the conceptualization and execution of complex software initiatives and enhancements across organizations
  • Collaborate with engineering, enterprise services and stakeholder teams to define and execute the technology strategy to digitally transform and modernize our applications
  • Demonstrate strong initiative and follow through in executing responsibilities, overcoming obstacles and organizational boundaries, and balancing multiple priorities effectively to drive change for the enterprise
  • Thought leadership by understanding technology trends, competitive landscape, regulatory changes, and bringing innovative ideas forward to improve and evolve our products and platforms
  • Establish and exemplify engineering best practices, leading by example in raising the bar for the team and organization overall
  • Lead your team with integrity and create an environment where your employees feel included, valued, and supported to do work that energizes them
  • Deliver industry leading solutions that satisfy highly complex business requirements while balancing performance, scalability, availability and cost-effectiveness

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of technology engineering experience
  • 6+ years of leadership and people management experience in a technology environment
  • 5+ years of experience with strategic planning in technology
  • 7 + years of experience managing application development teams
  • 5+ years of application development experience
  • 5+ years of Agile experience
  • 5+ years of offshore application development process experience
  • 1+ years of experience managing a geographically dispersed team
  • 2+ years of vendor management experience
  • 3+ years of microservices development experience
  • 7+ years of experience managing software engineering projects through complete software release cycles
  • 5+ years of experience managing a geographically dispersed team



Desired Qualifications

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • 5+ years of J2EE experience
  • 5+ years of Spring experience
  • 2+ years of Kafka experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of Splunk
  • Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
  • Knowledge and understanding of application and web security
  • A BS/BA degree or higher in science or technology



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in developing modern web and native mobile applications
  • 3+ years of experience in developing enterprise web applications using React JS with Redux
  • 3+ years of experience in developing API and microservices
  • Knowledge and understanding of Kafka Steams
  • Familiarity with identity providers such as Ping, Okta, Auth0 and SiteMinder
  •  Experience with private or public cloud such as PCF, OpenShift, GCP, AWS, Azure
