Project Coordinator/Account Coordinator

Manpower Engineering seeking an Account Coordinator/Project Coordinator for our client in the Kokomo, Indiana area. Direct hire/perm opportunity open due to retirement. Very stable company offering career advancement. 8am - 5 pm hours.

Summary of what you'd be doing:

  • They will handle customers from project inquiry through delivery, working with Management, Engineers, Assembly, Purchasing and Shipping & Receiving to make sure all runs smoothly
  • Assists in sales forecasting activities with assigned accounts to help set performance goals.
  • Prospects for additional opportunities within assigned account base.
  • Prepares periodic reports documenting prospecting activities and quote status for assigned account base.
  • Lots of data entry - enters project information in Project Tools data base and organize documentation.
  • Submits project for quotation with all necessary information.
  • Submits complete quotation to customer.
  • Maintains relationship with customer to turn quotations into purchase orders.
  • Consults with management and reviews project proposals to determine goals, time frame, funding limitations, procedures for accomplishing project, staffing requirements and allotment of resources.
  • Develops project plans specifying goals, strategy, staffing, scheduling, identification of risks, contingency plans, and allocation of available resources.
  • Formulates and defines scope and objectives of project.
  • Identifies and schedules project deliverables, milestones, and required tasks.
  • Tracks activities of project personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
  • Establishes standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
  • Prepares project status reports and keeps management, customers, and others informed of project status and related issues.
  • Acts as liaison between the customer and company personnel to provide technical advice and resolve problems.
  • Coordinates and responds to requests for changes from original specification. Completes necessary change requests to document agreed upon changes.
  • Monitors project results against technical specifications.
  • Develops and maintains technical and project documentation.
  • Generates shipping documents.

Here's a summary of who we're seeking:

  • The best candidate should have very good customer service skills, be people oriented and great organizational skills. Industry experience would be a huge plus but not required.
  • Should have good computer skills - lots of data entry
  • Understand Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Purchase Orders (POs)
  • Able to memorize
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or Electronics technical field with at least one year of industry experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
