Korean TV/Movies Content Programmer

Area Description

Our client's product is a new entertainment experience designed to help you easily browse, discover and watch movies and TV. It brings together content from across your apps and subscriptions and organizes them just for you.

Role Description

As a Content Programming Associate, you will be handling 2 main responsibilities.

1. Global promotion operation (70% time)

You'll have the opportunity to lead the execution of US and global subscription promotion campaigns: Coordinating with our colleagues, from go-to-market, business development, marketing, and content programming teams, to strategize ways to achieve the campaign targets, setting up campaigns and conducting required tests for launch, keeping track of campaign performance, designing experiments, and documenting best practices.

2. South Korea (KR) GTV content programming (30% time)

You will select content to feature in South Korea each week and execute your programming, work with a wide variety of KR content partners to understand their content slates, analyze performance metrics, and optimize the user experience while preparing for future expansion. You could help build the overall Korea editorial strategy by suggesting new editorial initiatives with the goal of increasing watch time on our client's platform. Leveraging

feedback from user research, you could ideate on new features and content franchises - formulating the ideal user experience and working with product teams to see what's possible.

You bring to the table strong promotion and content knowledge, a love and understanding of KR & US entertainment and Korea pop culture, sharp analytical abilities, and impeccable oral and written communication skills. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with product, design, business development, marketing, and other teams to develop innovative user experiences. It's important that you be able to work both independently

and collaboratively to develop new promotion/content features, scalable content programming, and production processes. You'll also have a track record for successful prioritization, meeting critical deadlines, and enthusiastically accepting challenges with an eye toward problem solving. You thrive in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment and you love planning and efficiency as much as you love content. You are comfortable

working collaboratively in multiple documents and learning production tools to bring programming to life on our client's platform.

Responsibilities

● Own the execution of subscription promotion campaigns globally, including campaign set up, conducting QA, optimization, performance tracking, and designing experiments.

● Set our client's content programming strategy for South Korea market, working with global team and managing weekly content programming post launch.

● Analyze internal data, market research and industry trends to select content to promote.

● Manage a content calendar of key moments across all top partners

● Collaborate with partners and business development teams to drive business success for both content providers and our client.

● Develop user insights, including understanding of customer lifecycles and segments as well as genre and partner trends

Minimum Qualifications

● BA/BS degree

● 5+ years of experience working in a content programming, content strategy, entertainment editorial, merchandising, growth marketing, e-commerce, digital production or Media & Entertainment partnerships role.

● Understanding of the TV content landscape in Korea.

● Excellent communication skills and collaborative working approach

● Ability to write/edit compelling marketing copy in both English and Korean.

● Demonstrated strategic capability and analytical skills; ability to analyze research or performance data and apply that analysis to optimize strategy

● Experience driving A/B testing and optimization

● Ability to work with partners to develop co-promotion or cross-promotion strategies and campaigns

Preferred:

● South Korea (and US) media and entertainment experience.

● Track record of strategic thinking around promotion strategy, media & entertainment content marketing, and product requirements to enhance online merchandising capabilities.
