Clinical Specialist - Perioperative-NV

Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate opening for a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our perioperative clinical services division based out of the Las Vegas, NV area. The position works closely with the Acute Care and Perioperative sales teams to provide insight to the perioperative process by helping to grow new business, as well as secure or enhance current business for our Custom Procedure Tray, Drape & Gown and Operating Room division. Linking clinical practice to products and program by building strategic relations with healthcare personnel included but not limited to the operating room, cath lab, specials/IR/EP lab, Labor & Delivery, SPD and Materials Management.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Establishing and nurturing client relationships by developing strong relationships with key perioperative decision makers;
  • Presenting/selling new products or solutions and maintaining existing business;
  • Implementation support for surgical pack programs;
  • Analyze surgical data;
  • Map surgical procedures to perioperative supply protocols;
  • Conduct clinical reviews or observations to recommend improved or best practice, process, metrics or models;
  • Conduct utilization reviews: identifying waste, standardization opportunities, clinical practice adjustments for surgical pack programs;
  • Work closely with the Business Analyst Team and Perioperative Sales Rep to identify product opportunities within an engagement.
  • Attend in key customer conventions (AORN, OR Manager, AST etc.) when requested to further expand the concept and development of Medline branded items and engage with customers
  • Contribute to the development of new products along with the modification and improvements of existing products by providing customer (end user) insight for process enhancement and improvement opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:
RN- Registered Nurse CNOR or Certified Surgical Technition (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT)
Relevant Work Experience:
At least 3-5 years direct Operating Room experience (Prefer Cardiovascular or Ortho experience)
Clinical Team Leader/Coordinator or OR Manager/Director level leadership. Proficient in Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and computer system technology.
Experience presenting to and coordinating professional level meetings, including preparation of agendas, documenting meeting minutes etc.
Experience building positive customer relationships while providing clinical consultative feedback.
Experience applying thorough understanding of the Operating Room environment and exhibiting knowledge of all specialties.
Position requires travel up to 75% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)
Lean Certification, Six Sigma is a plus
