Support the vision of the product manager in the management of all phases of the product life cycle.

This person, is responsible for the gathering of information from customers and our sales team in the support of marketing, business development and product roadmap decision. This person helps develop insightful information on competitive position on a territory by territory and national basis. At the direction of the product manager this person directly supports the development of: product literature, pricing, and proposal. The product specialist will assist sales and operations in managing key projects and assist and perform sales training as well as operations training in the area of project execution. The person will be actively engaged in marketing activities (speaking, attending, and training) at national/regional trade shows and interface with customers and consulting engineers for the assigned projects.

  • Supports the sales team with the technical information needed to answer customer questions and drive sales process.
  • Assists the product manager in the generation of pricing to support sales of assigned products and services
  • Tracks competitive position of pricing
  • Works, at the direction of the product manager with the proposal department and marketing to generate proposal and presentations (including presentations to support the approval process)
  • Assists in the management of critical projects.
  • At the direction of the product manager assists in the gathering of VOC information from both internal and external customers of the LOB or business unit
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company's product and services to competitors' products.
  • Develop and execute sales training and customer informational training and presentations
  • Provides data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Assesses product market data and generates voice of customer insights by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • Assists the product manager in the development of market opportunity data and supports the regions in development of NBS budgets.
  • Assists in the introduction of new products and services by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and project execution.
  • Validates competitiveness of pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing closed projects.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Develop the plans, tools, approach, SOPs, teams and systems supporting our business to deliver pipe rehabilitation projects and programs.
  • Represent the company by attending and speaking at key industry association trade meetings on Pipe Rehabilitation related topics.


  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • 2-3 years minimum experience working in a customer service or engineering capacity; ideally in the water industry
  • Adaptability to changing needs of our customers (internal and external)
  • An ability to effectively communicate, listen, and empathize with the client.
  • Ability to work and succeed in a non-structured work environment.
  • A combination of sales, delivery and project management skills
  • Creativity, proactivity and strategy thinking to develop new offerings
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Ability to translate strategy into practical, executable business plans.
  • Strong influence skills.
