Job Summary

The Sales and Order Verification aka SOV supervisor will have oversight responsibility for the members of the SOV team, those in the Sales and Order Verification Specialist role. The SOV Supervisor will ensure goals for performance and deadlines are met and comply with the company's strategic initiatives, while ensuring direct reports understand expectations. The incumbent will ensure there is a qualified person in each role that they supervise. The SOV Supervisor will review SMART objectives, conduct quarterly performance reviews, work with manager to ensure there is personalized development plans for team members. The incumbent will support and or develop a productive environment while ensuring employee productivity, provide encouragement to all direct reports to direct reports. The incumbent will have responsibilities for orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, communicating job expectations, planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions, recommending compensation actions, ensure adherence to company/group policies and procedures. The incumbent will keep management informed in a timely fashion of team performance, productivity etc. Create summaries of status and reports of order data and of Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), and report data to manager. The SOV Supervisor will maintain up to date Methods and Procedures, and training materials, and ensure all processes are effective, efficient and provide the most accurate billing possible.

Oversight of team responsibilities including;

  • Critical customer contract and order data validation functions, for order review and order entry functions.
  • Ensure checklist driven validation of data capture in the necessary systems and repositories
  • Ensure the data reflects signed customer contracts prior to them being accepted into the order/provisioning systems
  • Ensure the team continuously performs tracking, monitoring and reporting of all orders pending review/ entry and those reviewed and entered.
  • Manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Develop/ maintain and perform audits of order review/ order entry
  • Oversee the quality control of carrier order entry, by comparing MSA, ASR documents, as well as provisioning detail to billing detail, ensuring proper documentation has been provided and billing information is entered into the billing system accurately.
  • Manage the assignments and task of the team members.
  • Provide training and development.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supervise members of the SOV team. Providing daily task management, goals to ensure deadline are met, provide training and technical support, assure process efficiencies, maintain and oversee constant quality assurance as incorrect billing could lead to loss of revenue. Provide performance metrics to team member, and report data to manager.
  • Ensure quality assurance of enterprise order management and review. This entails customer contract and order data validation on sales opportunities and on service orders. Effectively manage and prioritize orders before billing cutoff time. Ensure compliance to all company and business policies. Administer the review of all open service orders, ensuring that they are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure quality assurance for carrier order entry, performed by the team.
  • Consolidate the tracking, monitoring and reporting of all orders. Create and maintain professional quality, weekly, monthly, quarterly reports. The reporting, includes preparing weekly/monthly metrics, to provide data to management regarding quality standards, process efficiencies. Provide data to manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: Four year degree in business/information systems or other technical/analytical field.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years. Experience in systems, business practices. Telecommunications industry knowledge. Competent computer skills including experience with Excel (including pivot tables, v-lookups) and Word are required. Technical abilities are essential. Query language skills ideal.
