We work towards ongoing business process management and operational excellence to enable continuous improvement, and we're looking for Operational Excellence Consultants to join our growing team.

The Operational Excellence Practice focuses on five (5) primary capabilities and we are looking for an individual that can contribute in one or more of these areas:

  • Business Process Improvement (Lean, Six Sigma, Just Do It)
  • Operational Assessment and Roadmap
  • Performance Measurement (Framework, Balanced Scorecards, Closed-Loop)
  • Enterprise Operational Excellence Capabilities (Continuous Improvement Center of Excellence)
  • Technology Enablement (BPMS, RPA, Rules Management, Digital, Data & Analytics)

In this role, you will:

  • Lead project engagements around process improvement/operational excellence.
  • Understand the client's organization and their specific business process issues and help define/present solutions to drive value and deliver results to the client.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and process excellence programs across the various aspects of people, process, information (including metrics), and technology.
  • Provide business process knowledge/best practices to our clients.
  • Interview key stakeholders to establish successful criteria and constraints.
  • Collect and analyze data as well as gather and document client requirements.
  • Analyze business processes to develop recommendations.
  • Develop process / rules definition and documentation.
  • Lead process mapping workshops.
  • Coach and/or educate the team on BPI/BPM best practices.
  • Tackle complex problems and ability to come up with out-of-the-box ideas to find solutions.
  • Support the client in achieving sustainable performance and/or improvements.
  • Identify opportunities to provide or create additional client value to expand the relationship.
  • Manage relationships effectively and develop trusted relationships with client sponsors and partners.
  • Create and present both executive-level and detailed updates and final project readout deck.
  • Help support new business efforts through proposal builds, project estimates, SOW's
  • Help build practice management materials to support internal education and sales

A successful candidate will have the following characteristics:

  • Should be well versed in process excellence, passionate about their clients, dedicated to delivering high-quality solutions, and willing to travel up to 80% of the time across the US (primarily, but not limited to, our Centric locations listed above).
  • Demonstrate flexibility and be willing to tailor their approach specifically based on the client's needs.
  • This person should have experience across multiple industry verticals.
  • Have the ability to create unmatched experiences, for both clients and employees. You should revel in doing the unexpected and extraordinary for others.
  • Need to be comfortable functioning as either an individual contractor or in a team-based role.
  • Consulting experience is strongly preferred. That said, you will also be considered if you have a strong industry background. We like to work in the communities we live in.
  • We want someone who likes to solve problems. Clients don't come to us when the problem is easy. You should enjoy taking on the hard stuff.
  • And because we work with clients, excellent communication skills are important - both written and verbal. Translating technical concepts into layman's terms is an essential skill.
  • Related, you should be someone with the spirit of an educator and thus gets excited about mentoring and knowledge sharing.
  • Green Belt/Black Belt certification is preferred. That said, we are looking for someone who is flexible and willing to tailor their approach based on the client's needs. You could be leading assessment efforts, being a leader within a transformation program, leading the process within a technology implementation, etc.
  • Last, but not least, you will need to be an experienced Lean Six Sigma Consultant with a minimum of 5 years of successful experience. We are looking for someone who has a proven track record of delivering successful business process improvement projects in a consulting environment across a variety of industries. This role is delivery focused but would also like the individual to be capable and engaged with account management, practice management, and some business development initiatives as needed.
