Job Summary

This position is currently available for work at home to candidates that reside in the following states: Idaho, Kansas, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah or who reside in neighboring states and within 60 miles of Chadds Ford, PA or Lenexa, KS.

The Specialist, Compliance Testing develops test plans, coordinates, and conducts regulatory compliance tests to assess risk, internal controls, evaluate internal business processes as they relate to compliance activities, and analyze operating procedures. Provide a solution-based approach through engagement with the business on the implementation of compliance management program through risk-based guidance and deep understanding of business processes. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders and demonstrate the ability to influence 1 to 2 levels above role. Serves as subject matter expert for various functions within the department.
Job Description

Essential Job Functions

Assessment and Auditing - Plan and scope compliance transactional-related tests and control environment tests by assessing the applicable laws and risks and utilizing knowledge of the business area or process to develop appropriate scope for review. Effectively communicates testing objective with all parties involved. Partners with the business to understand processes, proposals, projects, etc. to develop a risk-based set of solutions to address regulatory requirements and effective implementation of compliance management program though independent testing of applicable laws and regulations. Creates and reviews various testing/management reports that clearly and concisely summarize results of tests and communicates the results to applicable internal stakeholders. Assists Manager in other compliance efforts as needed, such as ad hoc projects, regulatory exams, internal audits, department updates. Performs quality reviews of active and completed tests. Prioritize work, testing and projects effectively and in accordance with the Test Plan.

Leadership - Lead, motivate, and assist in the further development of the compliance testing team, inclusive of project supervision, associate training, and providing feedback to compliance testing associates on a recurring basis.

Reports to: Manager, Compliance Testing

Working Conditions/ Physical Requirements: Normal office or remote access environment, some travel may be required.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience

Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field

Years of Work Experience Required: Four or more years audit/compliance or similar experience in applying analytical skills to assess adherence to established laws, regulations or policies

Type / focus of work experience required: audit/compliance or similar experience in applying analytical skills to assess adherence to established laws, regulations

Preferred Experience:

Degree Preferred: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education and/or work experience

Area of Study: Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field

Certification Preferred: CRCM, CIA, CFSA, CPA or other industry certifications

Years of Work Experience Preferred: Six to eight years application of consumer banking regulations and knowledge of banking operations

Type / focus of work experience preferred: Proven application of consumer banking regulations and knowledge of banking operations
