About the ROLE: 

Bluebeam is looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to join our growing team. As a valued member of Bluebeam, you'll help us improve our software engineering practices, develop modern automated tools and pipelines, and enable our engineering teams to produce the next generation of cloud native applications.

More about the ROLE: 

  • Develop and maintain automation frameworks (infrastructure as code and CI/CD processes), connected tools, and shared libraries that will be consumed by the entire engineering organization.
  • Engage with engineering teams to identify roadblocks and inefficiencies in current workflows.
  • Assist in incident response workflows to highlight improvements to existing systems.
  • Support existing legacy services and actively engage with efforts to re-home them in our new cloud infrastructure.
  • Maintain third-party tools and integrations to keep teams collaborating and deploying code efficiently.

About YOU:

  • 3+ years of experience with building, deploying and maintaining of SaaS applications and related infrastructure on Linux platforms.
  • Working experience with AWS cloud platform with emphasis on autoscaling services (ASGs), Lambda functions, Kinesis, SQS, IAM, RDS, and Secrets Manager.
  • Experience with infrastructure tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Chef & Ansible.
  • Experience with scripting approaches like Python, Bash and Groovy.
  • Experience with building and deploying containerized applications (Docker, EKS, etc)
  • Background with configuring and maintaining build systems (Jenkins and Bamboo) and their dependencies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and APM tools such as AppDynamics, New Relic and Datadog.
  • Positive attitude and the ability to take ownership of tasks and assignments.
  • Eagerness to Learn - "DevOps" means adapting to new requirements. No one will ever know everything, but a willingness to engage, learn and improve means everything.

More About YOU:

  • Strong hands-on experience with deployment, scripting and automation
  • Strong understanding of web-hosting technologies such as IIS, TCP/IP and networking, along with other web administration tools.
  • Strong scripting experience with languages such as PowerShell
  • Experience with source control systems such as Git
  • Experience with developing and deploying Microsoft C# and the ASP.NET Web Services
  • Skills/knowledge in one or more of these subject areas, no flinching at learning others as needed:
    • Configuration management
    • Continuous integration and Deployment
    • Cloud Systems architecture (e.g. caching layers, content delivery networks, high availability practices)
    • Software as a service
    • Database development and administration preferably with SQL Server 
    • Experience with Windows web servers and their administration
    • Networking
    • Agile, Scrum, DevOp
