SUMMARY
The Clinical Manager works under the supervision of the Clinical Director and is responsible for implementing client services that address the A Renewed Mind mission and providing them in a manner consistent with the organization's vision and values.
This is a salaried position and as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor is categorized as a Clinical position. As such, this position is classified as exempt under the wage and hour regulations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/LICENSE/CERTIFICATION
Required:

  • Master's degree
  • LISW/LISW-S or LPCC/LPCC-S
  • Extensive experience in the treatment and care of children, adolescents and/or adults with mental health or substance use issues
  • Two years prior supervisory experience 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop, in conjunction with the Management Team, proposed objectives, staffing patterns and clinical service needs.
2. Implement programming that addresses client needs and meets all applicable standards.
3. Provide managerial oversight to all team members assigned to the program.
4. Provide clinical supervision to all team members assigned to the program.
5. Recommend a system of programming for achieving budget goals and assure quality of care by adhering to relevant best practices and state-mandated requirements.
6. Work with A Renewed Mind staff to identify program development and growth opportunities.
7. Ensure that treatment decisions are made in the best interest of the client.
8. Provide and document individual and group supervision.
9. Conduct annual and introductory evaluations of all employees and contractors, as applicable.
10. Manage hiring, evaluations and terminations in consult with Program and Clinical Directors and Human Resources.
11. Implement the agency's productivity standards to ensure program viability.

12. Achieve personal productivity goals as assigned

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform job duties in a manner that's friendly, considerate, and aligned with the agency's Mission,

2. Organize and plan work for maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
3. Utilize IT system and software programs in accordance with agency policy.
4. Utilize time off in a manner consistent with agency policy.
5. Perform other duties as deemed necessary and appropriate by supervisor.

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
1. Ability to learn and utilize the agency's Electronic Health Record database and other electronic tools
effectively and efficiently within 90 days of hire.
2. Demonstrate a current knowledge of treatment and research findings and literature pertaining to
alcohol and drug use and mental health issues.
3. Effectively supervise and manage professional staff members.
4. Demonstrate a current knowledge of state and national certification and regulatory standards.
5. Complete accurate and timely documentation.
6. Demonstrate the ability to work independently.
7. Demonstrate knowledge of community resources and referral sources.
8. Demonstrate the ability to effectively function as an A Renewed Mind team member.
9. Demonstrate the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks concurrently.
10. Possess and demonstrate effective organizational skills.
11. Demonstrate the ability to customarily and regularly exercise discretion and good professional
judgment.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to perform job responsibilities in facilities with multiple levels and without elevator or mechanical
