Human Resources Policy Analyst

Reingold is different from other D.C.-area consulting firms in two ways: We have a serious thirst for impact and a not-so-serious culture.

We flex our muscles as expert writers, technologists, and designers. But we're also regular people who care about the human side of showing up for work each day. In other words, jokes and jeans are common in our workplace, and we wouldn't have it any other way.

If you're a midlevel professional (4+ years' experience) with a deep knowledge of governance policies for interagency collaborations, then we want to meet you - and soon.

Here's the Role

Reingold is hiring a human resources policy analyst to support an emerging federal program that helps service members transition to civilian life. You would collaborate with a team of policy experts and content developers, marketing strategists, and the client to help take this program from pilot to success story.

You can expect the following tasks on your running to-do list:

  • Develop and advise stakeholders on the policies and HR-related procedures of an emerging interagency government program.
  • Hone and apply in-depth knowledge of U.S. labor policy and regulations, as well as best practices in effective program governance.
  • Evaluate and document current practices, help define the ideal future state, and identify potential roadblocks and opportunities in between.
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement a plan for policy compliance.
  • Help translate business needs into appropriate policy and procedural solutions.
  • Develop position descriptions; map job skills and roles from one agency to another.
  • Help develop key performance indicators to measure success.

This role is a good fit for someone with the following qualifications and skills:

  • At least 5 years of experience, including work with interagency projects.
  • Experience interfacing with clients, customers, or stakeholders.
  • Proven success with developing organizational policies and human resources procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and complete work with little supervision and under tight deadlines.
  • Mindset for understanding both the big picture and the small details.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (and we mean excellent).
  • Preference for a fast-paced, high-volume work environment.
  • Ability to pass a minimum background check.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience working with the U.S. departments of Veterans Affairs or Defense.
  • Demonstrated interest in the military transition experience or labor/employment policy.
  • SHRM training and certification.

Reingold offers competitive salaries, a comprehensive benefits package, a fun (and sometimes zany) workplace culture, and growth opportunities in a variety of specialty areas. That means when we find good people (and they find us), they stay around for the long term.

Workspace flexibility, too! Reingold employees are working remotely until we can safely return to the offices. We know that creativity happens in different ways for different people, so when our offices open, we're going hybrid: Staff members will be allowed to choose how many days they want to work in the office. We'd just like to have you close enough to be able to come in when needed to support the work.

Reingold is an equal opportunity, affirmative action employer. Women, minorities, veterans, and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply.
