Job Description Summary

The Talent Management Administrator provides project coordination and support of strategic plans to maintain the goals and objectives specific to talent management. Requires an exceptionally high level of discretion due to exposure and access to highly confidential and sensitive information. This position requires critical thinking skills with knowledge of talent management best practices. Additionally, this position will provide financial support with reporting and analysis.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

Major Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Supports Campus Life's talent management to implement and maintain plans and procedures for recruitment, staffing, onboarding, merit recommendations, performance reviews, and compliance issues within the division.

  • Facilitates project coordination to ensure goals and objectives of strategic planning are progressing.

  • Serves as a Talent Liaison to the Human Resources department and assumes tasks related to initiating, changing, or ending employment for employees (full-time, part-time, student, contingent, or temporary) in Workday, including coordination and tracking of records.

  • Supports functions within the division to build a culture of diversity in hiring, promotions, management, and general employment practices. 

  • Analyzes financial data and schedules financial reports to facilitate regular review in support of Associate Vice President of Campus Life.

  • Maintains processes related to hiring, onboarding, compensation changes, and offboarding for the department in adherence to University and Department of Human Resources policies and procedures.

  • Serves as a centralized Workday super-user for recruiting, onboarding, compensation, HRIS reporting, and exiting for Campus Life. 

  • Facilitates student employment committee to develop a consistent approach to student hiring, training and development opportunities, and compensation. 

Other Functions:

  • Assists with payroll resolutions.

  • Reviews job descriptions, evaluations, and job applications.

  • Reviews Campus Life employee costing allocation for proper funding source.

Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Human Resources plus 1-3 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • General knowledge of human resources functions, including, but not limited to, employment, laws, guidelines, and procedures.

  • Ability to maintain the confidentiality of privileged information and perform a range of duties that require sensitivity, independent judgment, flexibility, and discretion.

  • Highly-organized, with the ability to keep tasks moving forward.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills, and customer focus, with the ability to project a collaborative and professional demeanor with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse University community.

  • Proven skills in budget management and financial analysis or willingness to learn.

  • Proficiency or willingness to become proficient using a variety of technology (Workday, Microsoft Office, etc.) and effectively document and report. 

Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Workday experience, specifically human capital management, and finance.

  • Experience with budget maintenance and financial report analysis.


  • Works with minimal supervision.
