Account Manager - Employee Benefits

The Account Manager must have direct experience in implementing and managing custom self-funded employee benefit plans across all lines of employee benefit coverage for large group employers (500+ employees) that can thrive in a fast pace environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Senior Account Executive on an assigned book of business by collecting, managing and maintaining all administrative data required to proactively manage each client account across all lines of business
  • Collect, manage and maintain all data for all employee benefit plans in the salesforce.com or other designated operating system
  • Manage the Scope of Services tasks as identified in the EPIC Benefits Scope of Services task list
  • Manage the exchange of data and information on employee benefit plans with the client and vendors as required
  • Maintain accurate records of all vendor accounts
  • Oversee the scheduling and satisfactory completion of all communications, plan guides, employee benefit guides, communications and plan documents
  • Manage frequent progress/status conference calls between the client, Senior Account Executive and vendorsby tracking the meeting notes and updating the status of all relevant task in salesforce.com
  • Overall responsibility for the coordination of all vendors to ensure on-time implementations and ongoing services for the client. Coordination includes but is not limited to organizing conference call, meetings, contracts, RFP's, utilization reports, renewals, issue resolution, etc.
  • Provide ongoing interaction with the client and vendors on a daily basis to address requests for information or issue resultion
  • Request and assist with RFPs and comparison exhibits
  • Prior experience with large and complex Self-Funded Health Plans and ancillary coverages (diability, life, FMLA and coluntary lines)
  • Prior experience with implementing new lines of coverage and carrier changes
  • Request, review, coordinate updates and track client plan documents such as booklets, contracts, SPDs, etc.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to administration, billing, claims, etc. And facilitate day-to-day client needs
  • Attend a benefits or open enrollment fairs as needed to answer employee questions and distribute benefit materials
