Compliance Coordinator

Job Summary

Serves as Clerk of Record for all company subpoena processing. The role requires critical thinking and time management skills in order to complete assigned tasks within our regulatory obligation timeframes. Follows direction and executes tasks as assigned, demonstrates original thinking that helps improve processes or identifies trends. Escalates important matters to management. Recommends viable solutions, communicates effectively and demonstrates ability to influence 1-2 levels above them. Ability to manage projects and fulfill legal requests successfully to completion with limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions

  • Collect, analyze, and document all subpoenas through mail, internal notification systems and email.
  • Review subpoenas for accuracy and legitimacy.
  • Respond to external players such as law enforcement or law offices.
  • Ability to shift priorities as needs arise.
  • Work with the legal department when necessary.
  • Complete and send all legal requests/subpoenas within designated SLA.
  • Work with the robotics team when issues arise with the subpoena bot process.
  • Notarize documents as needed.
  • Provide subject matter expertise when needed in regard to subpoena requirements.

Manager or higher

Preferred Education/Certifications

Bachelor degree in business or related field, or equivalent work experience.

Paralegal

Notary

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Demonstrated knowledge in general compliance requirements.

Professional level writing skills and experience writing legal or compliance documents such as Risk Assessments, Methodology, Procedures, etc.

Proficiency in qualitatively analyzing and documenting data.

Ability to understand and analyze complex regulatory and business issues.

Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills.

Ability to function in deadline intensive environment, managing multiple responsibilities while effectively focusing on priority issues.

Superb attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Access, SharePoint and Project a plus.

Self-motivated with the ability to function effectively with supervisor


Education:
Associate's Degree, GED (Required), High School Diploma (Required)
Certifications:

Work Experience
At least one year, Two or more years
