Assistant Program Coordinator - WM (Detox)

Assist the Program Coordinator with training, administrative duties, and clinical supervision.


Essential Duties:

* Perform individualized training with new staff, and ongoing training and review with current staff and other peers.
* Creation and maintenance of training materials and guides.
* Provide group supervision to employees for clinical development and certification hours.
* Will review and co-sign clinical documentation for new employees in order to provide feedback.
* Shares responsibility to cover on call supervisor shifts; which includes assisting with finding coverage.
* Supports shift coordinators and therapists in the coordination/facilitation of client transports.
* Assist Program Coordinator and Primary Therapists in monitoring and coordinating EC/IC process.
* Assist Program Coordinator in employee screening, and interviews.
* Assist Program Coordinator and Shift Coordinators in addressing employee concerns, documenting supervisions and expectations.
* Assist the Program Coordinator with creating and maintaining staff schedule.
* Assists Program Coordinator with preparing and giving verbal and written warnings when necessary.
* Facilitation and attendance of mandatory in-services, staff meetings, clinical supervision, and on-line training as required.
* Ensures Adverse Incident Reporting (AIR) procedures are followed. Attend Critical Incident Reviews (CIR) as designated by the Manager or CIR team.
* Assist Program Coordinator with completing monthly reports when necessary.
* Assist Program Coordinator in reviewing and updating job descriptions, and policies/procedures as needed.
* Maintains acceptable attendance and punctuality and is consistently at work and on-time.
* Supports and assists the team in making decisions regarding client appropriateness for admission, discharge or transfer to a higher level of care as well as ensuring client safety.
* Assists line staff with providing guidance, safety, stability and direction to clients, including de-escalating potentially dangerous situations.
* Effectively responds to the client needs and problems, initiates and maintains positive interactions, timely response to phone calls, email and other requests.
* Maintain small outpatient caseload.
* Adheres to all Jefferson Center Policies and Procedures
* Participates in supervision by coming prepared with an agenda. Reports high risk/problem cases, and utilizes a problem solving approach as well as feedback. Attends supervision at times and interval agreed upon with supervisor.
* Performs accurate and timely documentation at all times. Corporate Compliance including documentation on practice in accordance with regulatory requirements and clinical guidelines. Submits 90% of all Progress Summary notes before end of shift.

* Addresses the whole health needs of the patient by ensuring that appropriate releases are in place for other providers, and by making appropriate referrals as needed when significant needs are a consideration.
* Have an understanding of how trauma impacts the lives of the people being served, so that every interaction is consistent with the recovery process and reduces the possibility of re-traumatization. Ensure that delivery practices are guided by the principles of trauma informed care and the principles of addiction treatment.

Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

* Certified Addiction Specialist (CAS required, LAC preferred)
* Bachelor's Degree with 2 years of experience in the related field; or Master's Degree preferred in a related field of study (Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, Social Work, etc.)
* 2 years of supervisory experience
* Current CPR/First Aid Certification or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
* Motor Vehicle Insurance Coverage requires applicant must be 25 years or older. Must have an acceptable Motor Vehicle Driving record as determine by our insurance carrier. An MVR will be pulled along with a background check.

2021 Salary Range:

Grade 13

* *$48,400 to $64,900
* *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE.
