Procurement Analyst

Successful Procurement Analysts will be able to:

  • Lead, and execute purchasing strategies under the direction of Management.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness.
  • Performs and assists with negotiation strategies and close deals with optimal terms.
  • Partner with stakeholders to ensure clear requirements documentation.
  • Forecast price and market trends to identify changes of balance in buyer-supplier power.
  • Perform cost, scenario feasibility analysis, and benchmarking scopes and projects, working with project management to prioritizes deliverables, and negotiate on product functionalities.
  • Seek partnerships with reliable vendors and suppliers.
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries.
  • Monitor and forecast upcoming levels of demand seeking reliable vendors or suppliers to provide quality goods at reasonable prices.
  • Review technical specifications for raw materials, components, equipment, or buildings.
  • Perform special projects as needed.
  • Maintain database of contracts related to services, maintenance, goods, equipment and leases.
  • Ensure adherence to company policy throughout the supply chain, to include requisitions, proposals, procurement, and receiving.
  • Work with Management to develop policies and procedures based on company need and best practices within the supply chain and procurement process.

What Do You Need?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or Business Administration.
  • At least two (2) to four (4) years procurement experience.
  • Experience with vendor management software.
  • Experience with procurement software.
  • Experience working with GPOs (Group Purchasing Organizations).
  • Research, analyze, and evaluate new service delivery methods, procedures, and techniques.
  • Verbal and written skills, organizational skills, and customer service skills.
  • Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.
  • Microsoft Office Word and Advanced Excel skills preferred.
  • Be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • Be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Eligibility to obtain necessary credentials and clearances.
