SUMMARY
The Georgia Coordinating Center (GCC) Communicator provides Emergency Medical Services (EMS) personnel with destination guidance based on patient needs and the availability of services at area hospitals. Communicates hospital diversion status to EMS, and provides reasonable alternate destinations, if needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Three (3) or more years job related experience including field paramedic / EMS experience
  • Previous dispatcher or communication center experience is preferred
  • Current Georgia Paramedic (EMT-Paramedic) certification
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) card
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
