Scheduler - Truck Deliveries

The Scheduler is responsible for effectively scheduling daily deliveries for Simoniz drivers. Arranges delivery schedules and dispatches drivers to appropriate locations for delivery of product. The individual will manage a smooth and consistent operation so that products are delivered efficiently and on time.

  • Schedules outbound deliveries on our trucks and assigns daily delivery runs to drivers.
  • Verifies customer orders and checks inventory levels and delivery requirements, prior to scheduling shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
  • Ensure the company's high level of customer service expectations and operational integrity are met and/or exceeded on a daily basis
  • Update the shipment tracking system and maintain timely data integrity.
  • Ensures deliveries are carried out accurately and efficiently.
  • Creates and maintains reports documenting dispatch details.
  • Daily communications with Plant Supervisors, Warehouse and Logistics Manager and Customer Service
  • Communicate with Stock Runners bringing materials over from the plant, as well as Drivers leaving for deliveries
  • Responsible for following and complying with established safety procedures
  • Backup other Warehouse supervisors as necessary
  • Other duties as required

  • 1 - 3 years of truck dispatch experience and demonstrated leadership abilities
  • 2 - 5 years of related warehouse experience
  • Strong computer skills, including the ability to use bar code scanners and related software to ensure all inventory transactions are accurate
  • Safety oriented attitude, including compliance around personal protective equipment
  • Knowledge of HazMat
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organization, and problem solving skills
  • Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required
  • Must be available to work overtime

May require walking primarily on a level surface throughout the day

Frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds
