Seasonal Temporary Critical Care RN - Sign On Bonus


Purpose:To establish standard guidelines for providing seasonal staffing incentives to meet staffing demands during high volume season.

Position Title: RN Temp $85.00 per hour

Hours Required:A minimum of 72 hours per pay period including every other weekend.Employees will normally work a pre-determined schedule; however there is no guarantee of hours.Actual hours scheduled and worked are dependent upon census and hospital staffing needs.

Differential:Seasonal Plan pay cannot be combined with other shift incentives including but not limited to regular shift differentials.

Bonus Eligibility: Hospital agrees to pay the following bonuses in the following installments

Sign On Bonus

13 week agreement

Payment on first paycheck

Payment at completion of 6 weeks

Total bonus amount for 13 week agreement




Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Employee must have a good attendance record, including absenteeism and tardies and is limited to one call-in occurrence per 13 week commitment.
  • For the purposes of this policy, employees of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare are not eligible for the Seasonal Plan.
  • Although agreement may refer to a specific floor or unit, employees are expected to float to other areas for which they possess the required competencies within the hospital as directed based on patient care needs.
  • Las Palmas Del Sol Health Care reserves the right to terminate the plan at any time. Once the agreement period has been fulfilled seasonal plan employees may extend agreement for up to a maximum of 24 weeks.
  • Seasonal plan position is not eligible to participate in hospital benefit programs (i.e. Health and Group plans, Paid Time Off, 401K program etc).
  • Employee agrees that if his or her employment terminates before the completion of ___ weeks of service (_____date_________), he or she will not be entitled to receive any remaining amount of the bonus and will repay any advance that was received. Employee specifically authorizes Hospital to deduct the amount of bonus advanced to the Employee from any money Hospital may otherwise owe Employee upon his or her termination, regardless of whether such deduction comes from wages due or otherwise. Employee acknowledges that this could constitute the entire amount then owed to Employee. Employee agrees that if this is not sufficient to repay Hospital in full for the advance, Employee is obligated to and will repay any remaining amount within 30 days of the termination of employment.
  • Employee agrees that if he or she fails to repay any amount due to Hospital and Hospital is required to initiate any legal action to collect the amount due, Employee will pay the Hospital's reasonable costs of doing so, including attorneys' fees. 
  • Employee agrees that in the event that he/she demonstrates a need for a leave of absence for any time period longer than three (3) days and appropriately requests and is granted an approved leave of absence per Hospital policy, such time absent due to the approved leave of absence shall not be considered as any portion of the ____ week obligation. Such time absent due to an approved leave shall extend the obligation by the length of the approved leave of absence.
  • Employee understands that no guarantees of employment for a definite period of time, future employment, promotions, or wage increases have been made or implied and that either Hospital or Employee may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without notice or cause.
