The Opportunity:

The Manager, Training is responsible for managing people, processes and tools in the development, delivery and/or logistics coordination of global training (technical and/or non-technical). This includes analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation of various training programs. Manager will collaborate with the business to understand and strategically build requirements for training needs supporting the function/business/organization. This role is responsible for building partnerships creating project timelines, resource requirements and a corresponding budget. Leads creation and maintenance of training materials to support delivery to target audiences in each theater the company operates in.
The Manager, Training will coordinate with other development entities, both internal and external to the company.
This role will have direct and indirect responsibility for the work that is performed by other team members. This may include trainers, developers, content creators, content managers, web developers, internal/external/3rd party trainers/educators, logistics coordinators and/or other subject matter experts who are focused on specific functions within the development process. It will be this role's responsibility to recommend required changes, enhancements and additions to this team.
Will partner with various functions/theaters/businesses to ensure a cohesive, aligned training product for the overall Panduit business. This position should have and maintain current and evolving knowledge and skills necessary to take advantage of the latest technologies for learning. Responsible for the tools, software, development platforms and services offered.
The result of this position should be to develop programs and experiences which enable higher performance within Panduit teams, create business sustainability through robust skill sets of the people and/or further sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define, build, execute and maintain Panduit training programs (technical and/or non-technical) for internal and external teams. The training will focus on technical and/or non-technical aspects (as needed) of their roles dependent on program or function/group/theater/businesses it supports. (40%)
  • This role will lead a team and have direct and indirect responsibility for the work that is performed by other team members. This may include trainers, developers, content creators, content managers, web developers, internal/external/3rd party trainers/educators, logistics coordinators and/or other subject matter experts who are focused on specific functions within the development process. It will be this role's responsibility to recommend required changes, enhancements and additions to this team. This role will also be responsible for the tools, software, development platforms and services required and will be required to maintain and update these as required to complete the work assigned. May also manage equipment, demos, student kits, consumables, etc.(30%)
  • Design, develop, deploy and analyze learning and development and/or technical learning and skill enhancement programs and projects. Partner with other functions/groups/theaters/businesses (internal and/or external) to ensure a cohesive, aligned training product for the overall Panduit business. (20%)
  • Coordinate with other development entities, both internal and external to the company. This includes discussions and negotiations for resources, services, and finished goods relative to assigned projects. (10%)


What does it take to work for Panduit?

Required Degree: Bachelor's degree in Training, Engineering, Business or related field with more than five (5) years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Degree: BS or higher in Workforce or Adult Education, Learning or instructional design, Formal education in instructional design, instructional technologies, or eLearning strongly preferred.

Certificate(s): CPLP or other learning certification preferred
  • 5+ years' experience in learning and development.
  • Prior experience supervising learning professionals, diverse team management across geographical boundaries, experience in building, shaping and growing Technical Development teams
  • Experience with training technologies including LMS, LCMS, and e-learning authoring tools.
  • Knowledge of LMS/LCMS/CRM software selection and implementation experience required
  • Strong presentation skills (developing and speaking)
  • Experience conducting training in person and virtually.
  • Experience facilitating meetings and events.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Courseware Authoring Software such as: Adobe Captivate, Articulate Presenter, Articulate Studio and Storyline, Adobe Connect, TechSmith Camtasia, or Adobe Presenter.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with team, peers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) via professional communication channels to maintain relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, manage, and motivate technical training staff.
  • Skills maintaining overall consistency of curriculum, catalog of courses and delivery of content
  • Solid knowledge of instructional design techniques, adult learning theory, and web-based development tools
  • Ability to articulate concepts, designs and implementation to senior management level at an internal organizational level
  • Ability to handle multi-cultural issues and challenges remotely such as identifying and remedying people/team issues
  • Infrequent international travel required
