Business Analyst - Countertop Division

VT Industries Inc. is a leading manufacturer of Dimensions post form laminate countertops, laminate panels and Centerpointe butcher block countertops. We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst. This individual would report to the National Account Manager, Countertop Division. This position will interpret sales, cost and other data with analytical takeaways and recommendations in an integral role within our Countertop Business. The Business Analyst is a highly visible position, working closely with top leaders of the organization and various cross-functional work groups. This is a highly specialize role with a plethora of challenges and opportunities to improve data visibility and decision making with the Countertop Division. This person will monitor projects from initiation through delivery to key internal and external sales customers.

Major Functions / Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced and complex analytics based upon business needs by extracting relevant data from both internal and external sources
  • Drives clear communication with sales leadership and stakeholders on projects and portfolio
  • Provide input to systems that track cost and progress
  • Develop business recommendations to sales leadership based on data that will provide insight to strategies to maximize revenue and profit at specific customers
  • Support developing sales presentations to national home centers, fabricators, commercial and national accounts
  • Work cross functional with internal partners such as customer service, purchasing, and field sales
  • Work with operations leadership to identify proper timelines / deadlines for production requirements of key components for project completion

Requirements / Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, Finance, Marketing, Analytics, or related field required
  • 3-5 years of experience working as an Analyst supporting a sales division
  • Team oriented, accountable to peer team and managed team, willingness to seek improvements with team
  • Excellent communication, presentation, teamwork, and analytical skills.
  • Experience with Drafting and MS software - Word, Excel, Power Point and Access
  • Excellent business writing skills and comfortable in front of groups for presentations
  • Problem solving know how and willingness to mentor others in solving problems
  • Willing to travel approximately 25% of the time
