Radiology Technician

Radiology technician needed for multidisciplinary Orthopaedic Spine Practice . The Radiologic Technologist (X-ray technologist, X-ray tech) is responsible for performing all radiology services and other duties as assigned. In addition, they will ensure the well-being of patients and provide a positive, supportive environment while working in conjunction with physicians, advanced practice clinicians, front office and clinical staff.

This role is clinic based and requires working in a clinical setting. It requires the ability to stand and sit (with some bending and stooping), ability to use manual dexterity in relation to clinical requirements, and ability to assist patients as needed. Hours are Monday- Fri day 8:30 am - 5:pm.



Job Requirements:
  • Perform accurate X-rays as ordered by the provider while practicing radiation safety       precautions 
  • Ensures proper positioning of patient and exposure/development of film for proper diagnosis.
  • Assists physician and medical staff in performing studies, as requested.
  • Maintains an accurate system of identification, filing and recording of films and reports and maintains proper, concise and complete EMR documentation.
  • Checks and maintains equipment in clean, proper, safe working order.
  • Reports any equipment malfunction, takes appropriate safety steps, and reports repair needs to management.
  • Orders chemicals, x-ray supplies, and replacement parts as needed.
  • Create/Burn CD’s in compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Perform detailed and accurate data collection during clinical intake of patients to include taking and recording vital signs and patient history when needed
  • Assist patients as needed with walking, transfer, exam prep, etc.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
  • Licensed and accredited by ARRT and State, if applicable and required by law
  • Maintain CEU/CME’s as applicable for licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years clinical experience in related field
  • Experience performing all standard radiographic studies
  • Experience with computed and digital radiography
  • Experience with taking patient vital signs
  • Experience documenting in electronic medical records and PACS
