Job Requirements:
  • Logistics (Inbound Land, Ocean & Air freight shipments)
    • Closely following up on open orders’ status
    • Arranging shipping for domestic and international orders based on agreed Incoterms
    • Requesting needed documents for all orders in a timely manner
    • Notifying warehouses with incoming materials details
    • Negotiating freight rates to maintain competitive margins
    • Inspecting and evaluating the quality of received materials and resolving shortcomings
    • Managing Claims with carriers and suppliers

o    Data Entry for all incoming materials on ERP system

o    Keeping records of all orders received

  • Inventory Management
    • Inventory management by analyzing demand, forecast and open orders
    • Participating in and managing physical counts
    • Inventory reconciliation for external Warehouses
    • Managing obsolete stock
  • Purchasing
    • Preparing and issuing purchase orders according to agreements and current prices
    • Updating customer service and sales team with status of materials on order
    • Approving invoices after comparing to quotes and resolving discrepancies
    • Calculating costs by requesting freight quotes & material details
    • Evaluating suppliers’ performance and escalate when needed
    • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers
    • Complying with company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards
  • Participate in/initiate supply chain improvement projects
  • Routinely report on department KPIs along with appropriate analysis and corrective action where necessary

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience

  • BA/BS degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in similar role is preferred
  • Experience analyzing trends & presenting data
  • Experience with working in a buying or supply chain role & dealing with suppliers
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, & ERP systems with above average Excel proficiency
