SUMMARY

The Electronics and Maintenance Supervisor will oversee and provide a hands on approach on maintenance and repairs of the manufacturing plants in electrical other building systems.

· Oversees and provides hands on of the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department.

· Evaluates systems or facilities to determine maintenance or repairs that need to be performed.

· Assesses building systems to plan work assignments and project schedules.

· Develops maintenance procedures and schedules.

· Ensures maintenance and repair work is completed correctly and in a timely manner.

· Perform maintenance and repairs involving some of the following: Electrical, metal work, machining, and welding.

· Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical/electrical system problems such as electrical circuits, controls, motor starters, switches, photo-eyes, and PLCs, using root cause analysis principles and taking corrective action to repair.

· Debug, and repair production equipment control systems, AC/DC drives, load cells, power distribution and other machine control components, as quickly and safely as possible to ensure minimal production down time.

· Responsible for equipment installations, retrofits and upgrades.

· Set up and operate a range of machine tools and equipment to make repairs. Responsibility for maintaining department tools and equipment.

· Identify and troubleshoot sources of mechanical failure. Make recommendations and report problems to Manager for future improvements.

· Maintain neat and orderly inventory of equipment spare parts, i.e. busses, controls, switches etc.

· Follow preventive maintenance schedule for equipment. Keep neat and accurate repair records, and other department information.

· Follow standard operating procedures for preventative and predictive production equipment maintenance.

· Hires and trains maintenance department staff.

· Organizes and oversees the schedules and work of maintenance staff.

· Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.

· Handles discipline of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

· Travel occasionally from plant to plant will be required.

· Comply with Company policies and procedures, including safety and quality.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent required.

· Requires completion of an Electrical Technician certification program, and hands on experience for a minimum of one year.

· Certificate in Equipment Maintenance from technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· Three to five years of maintenance experience required.

· At least two years of supervisory experience.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the level of knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

· Must be able to operate company vehicle.

· Must be familiar with PLCs and BOS Systems.

· Basic welding knowledge is preferred.

· Must have extensive knowledge of electro-mechanical and general maintenance.

· Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

· Ability to read electrical drawings/schematics.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to identify issues and determine repairs that are needed.

· Ability to plan maintenance schedules for building systems.

· Excellent management and supervisory skills

· Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

· Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

· Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
