Business Analyst and System Administrator

We have an immediate need for a business and system administrator to help support the implementation of a new project management system. We are looking for a result-oriented person – the kind of contributor who is willing to get into the details of how we manage our projects and our daily work. The Business Analyst will research and resolve problems, develop specifications from business requirements, coordinate technical support. The Business Analyst will participate in creating solutions, develop specifications or process diagrams, produce deliverables related to the project and assist in post implementation support and system enhancements.? This position will participate in gathering, compiling and synthesizing information with regard to core technology, processes or systems. This position will also be responsible for our current Project Management System Administration and will transition to support our new Project Management System post implementation.


  • 4+ years of experience in business or business analyst role
  • Experience running AGILE development projects desired
  • Demonstrate ability to generate technical solutions based on business needs
  • Strong knowledge of software delivery methodologies.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment with little or no supervision.
  • Excellent Project Management skills.
  • Strong understanding of business process, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Develop and produce business and IT requirement documents including necessary flow diagrams.
  • Experience with working with full system implementation which includes having an understanding of database schemes, configuration practices, report development, testing practices.
  • Ability to work in an abstract and fast paced environment.
  • Experience with custom development and COTS best practices and procedures.


  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/MIS, Engineering, Business Administration or related field

Job Functions / Responsibilities  

  • Manage the relationship between key stakeholders, the project team and vendors. 
  • Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals and deliverables. 
  • Understand and communicate business needs in order to analyze and develop technical solutions 
  • Perform tasks associated with pre-project consulting and business case development. 
  • Elicit high level project objectives and project success criteria. 
  • Accurately estimate time required to complete business analysis tasks and deliverables. 
  • Document business and IT requirements including process flow and data flow diagrams. 
  • Collect and analyze the project's business requirements and transfer knowledge to development team. 
  • Communicate effectively with business and internal teams to deliver product's functional requirements. 
  • Facilitate workshops to scope projects and gather detailed product requirements. 
  • Monitor and report on progress of the project to all stakeholders. 
  • Help create and document team processes and metrics. 
  • Administer existing project management tool which includes supporting users and learning existing business and system process flows.  This will help with the understanding of future system needs. 
  • Administer new project management system post implementation including user support, creation and maintenance of configuration documentations and changes, support of future releases, and partnership with IT on care and maintenance.
