Corporate Controller

As a leader of our Corporate Accounting team, you'll oversee the development of core accounting functions including revenue, tax and financial reporting. By focusing on our team's accounting infrastructure, you'll make sure the department is equipped to scale and provide expertise and guidance to support COMPANY's growth strategy. What You Will Do:

  • Oversee and manage our core Accounting team in general accounting, financial operations, accounts payable, inventory, and more
  • Manage monthly financial closing process
  • Coordinate and prepare internal and external financial statements
  • Establish, monitor and enforce internal controls and accounting policies and procedures
  • Architect accounting and controls infrastructure around new business verticals
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to support key company initiatives
  • Serve as lead partner with external auditors
  • Coordinate with external accountants and tax advisors to ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and filing and withholding requirements
  • Maintain chart of accounts, departments, and locations to support financial reporting and meet the needs of COMPANY's management
  • Own vendor relationships with key company partners to ensure the controlled and efficient processing of financial data
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve accounting processes for revenue recognition, capitalization of equipment and software development, and accounting system configurations
  • Evaluate and optimize the performance of accounting and related systems

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of progressive accounting experience including a management role. A combination of big 4 firm audit and public company experience preferred
  • Experience in design and implementation of new accounting structures, including transactional revenue recognition
  • CPA license
  • Highly skilled at technical accounting with a comprehensive understanding of US GAAP
  • A strong leader able to develop reports, motivate teams, collaborate across departments, work closely with senior management, and take initiative
  • An excellent communicator, both in writing and verbally, when working with internal and external teams
  • An expert multi-tasker when it comes to managing several high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented and analytical—you produce high-quality work while meeting tight deadlines
