  • Responsible for training, motivating, and maintaining a high level of engagement in the plant electrical group to provide an efficient operation consistent with overall company safety objectives.
  • Provide direct supervision to the electrical group, including coaching, training, and development.
  • Responsible for the coordination and prioritization of maintenance activities to maximize production efficiencies.
  • Assist the Foreman, General Foreman, and Department Manager in preparing capital appropriations and in carrying out projects within specified budgets. Will also assist in developing routine and non-routine maintenance budgets.
  • Responsible for following and upholding all aspects of the RPM Model for all assigned areas including but not limited to: work order submissions/approval/routing, scheduling, preventative maintenance tasks/routines, down day coordination activities, daily/weekly/monthly meeting schedules, and crew utilization.
  • Assist and support the Electrical Foreman with a plant Model Program.
  • Must be willing to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Responsible for working with parts and equipment vendors, issuing contracts, and working with contract employees to ensure they are following all applicable safety practices for the plant while working on-site.
  • Must be able to lead employees in lean concepts. 
  • Position responsibilities may change as required based on department needs.

Job Requirements:

  • Plant Electrician 4 experience preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of the RPM program and the ability to enter data, navigate, and extract information from MP2.
  • Motivator with a high level of organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks. 
  • Strong leadership, communication (verbal & written), decision making, and employee relation skills within a diverse work environment.
  • Knowledge of compliance programs with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and housekeeping.
  • Basic knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies that can be utilized to monitor conditions of equipment.
  • Basic knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies that can be utilized to monitor conditions of equipment and basic understanding of root cause analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis to evaluate equipment failures and optimize preventative maintenance practices
