About This Job

The Wealth Management Bill Payment Associate is the primary point of contact for Private Client & Institutional Administrators within the Commerce Trust Company for bill payments from their Trust account. The primary focus is servicing and processing for time sensitive, high risk transactions for Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, and Real Estate Administrators. The Bill Payment Associate also serves as a liaison between the Advisors, bill payment vendors, and other departments of the Trust Company to research and resolve any discrepancies that come up within the process. This position plays a key role in how new customers form their first and ongoing impressions of the Trust Company. This requires excellent relationship building skills, critical thinking, and the ability to make sound and prudent judgment on a simple perception of a situation. This role also requires excellent attention to detail along with a broad range of industry knowledge.

Essential Functions

  • Ensuring a timely, complete, and accurate processing of bill payment transactions.

  • Building and maintaining relationships with Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, and Real Estate Administrators.

  • Ensuring appropriate controls are in place for all processes related to the bill payment product offering

  • Identifying accounts with upcoming bills were invoices have not been received and resolving before the bill becomes past due.

  • Collaborating with the Private Client, Institutional, Family Office, Real Estate Administrators to identify clients with additional bill payments we can service.

  • Driving process improvements, maintaining documentation, and assisting with projects and testing.

  • Working closely with other support teams within the Trust Company to resolve client transactions and with other Middle Office team members to assist/backup during high volumes or absence.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm

  • Knowledge of Trust industry and terminology.

  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Two to five years of experience in finance or investment management industry preferred
