Business Intelligence and Adoption Analyst

Job Description:

The Digital Banking business is responsible for developing and executing Bank of America’s mobile and online strategy, roadmap and transformation. The team is focused on making banking, investing and borrowing more convenient for customers by delivering innovative products and services across mobile devices, online platforms, new digital experiences, and advanced banking centers.  Our goal is to provide a seamless, personalized experience for each client that spans and supports their full relationship with us – from banking to investing to retirement.

Reporting to the Digital Strategy and Insights Executive (Merrill), the Business Intelligence and Adoption Analyst will drive business intelligence and insights to identify, position, and drive responsible growth, optimization, and strategy across Merrill Digital.

This individual’s work will be visible to senior leadership and external audiences. Deliverables will include developing regular analysis and reporting on opportunities within and performance of the Merrill Digital business; creating and evolving analytics dashboards and reporting, earnings materials, competitive analysis, executive reports and presentations, and business cases for the optimization of the digital business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive day-to-day dashboards and insights
  • Developing and maintaining understanding of client metrics and trends, leveraging both internal and external data to position the Merrill Digital organization as the authority on wealth management
  • Partner with Analytics and Reporting teams across large amounts of data to develop concise and crisp narratives
  • Prepare monthly reports/newsletters around client insights leveraging all internal and external client data, highlighting key trends, changes, and other relevant data
  • Make recommendations to improve overall business performance and client experience based on both internal and external data, as well as strategy and positioning
  • Prepare weekly and monthly insights snippets to be for strategic discussion and investment decisions
  • Partner closely with analytics/research organization and Strategy to drive actionable insights and communicate to the business

Required Skills:

  • Hands-on analytics and reporting experience with ability to use SAS, SQL, R and/or PYTHON to find and deliver data from various relational databases and platforms
  • Strong technical financial acumen (i.e. P&L, Balance Sheet, Business KPIs, etc.)
  • Experience with reporting tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau/MicroStrategy
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to summarize and interpret large amounts of data and translate into meaningful insight across multiple audiences
  • Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills, highly organized, and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, matrixed, collaborative environment
  • High customer orientation with the ability to build consensus
  • Strong technical expertise with focus on data and analytics to drive performance and measurable business outcomes
  • Financial Industry experience a must.
  • Digital experience a must.

Desired Skills:

  • Understanding of the bank’s data and analytics ecosystem
  • Wealth Management experience preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Finance, Mathematics/Statistics, Economics or Computer Science
