IT Technical Support Specialist

We currently have an opening for an IT Technical Support Specialist to work in our West Chester, PA office. 

A day in the life of our IT Technical Support Specialists may vary, but here is what you can count on:

  • Responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting tablet/laptop/desktop/server hardware, software packages, printers, networks and telecommunication systems.
  • Provides support to end users on a variety of issues which includes responding to telephone calls, emails and personnel requests for technical support
  • Identifies, researches, documents, and resolves technical problems
  • Responsible for the installation, deployment and maintenance of client systems, printers, and servers
  • Monitors and troubleshoots office backups
  • Assists in Enterprise IT hardware and software projects as needed
  • Assists with network administration and telecommunication systems
  • Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of hardware for products
  • Develops test strategies and performs stress and performance tests on a variety of computer hardware
  • Assists in developing, implementing and maintaining policies, procedures, and programs for ensuring the security and integrity of company data, databases, information systems, and technology
  • Coordinates, tests, and administers disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Responsible for tracking and documenting LLC IT assets

The right IT Technical Support Specialist will have these qualifications:

  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, user management, and Microsoft Office
  • Proficient with setting up computers and laptops and replacing parts such as memory, hard drives, power supply, etc.
  • Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a computer related field
  • Prior experience troubleshooting and maintaining telecom and VOIP systems (knowledge of ShoreTel a plus)
  • Strong Customer Support background
  • Ability to work in group environment on IT issues while also being able to work on projects alone as needed
