Treasury Sales Officer I

Job Description:

The Global Treasury Sales Officer (TSO) is responsible for managing and actively pursuing treasury revenue streams and product penetration across an assigned portfolio of approximately 50 GCB General Industries clients and prospective clients located in the mid-Atlantic region. The TSO works closely with client coverage team partners and with specialists in key products such as Card and Merchant Services as well as others across the enterprise to provide bespoke treasury solutions that best suit client needs. The successful candidate will set and lead coverage strategy to profitably expand our Treasury business, meeting portfolio growth and profitability targets while driving high levels of client satisfaction.

The TSO is accountable for revenue/product growth, planning and executing a high value add calling regimen, portfolio development, pricing, RFP or RFI responses, and leading client-facing treasury presentations.  This individual will need to craft compelling solutions to client needs based on a client focused cost/benefit analysis and bank focused profitability analysis and with an eye to encouraging digital adoption to enhance client treasury operations.  

Required Skills

  • At least 3 years of client-facing, Commercial Treasury Sales experience, in a TSO, TAM or TSA role
  • Excellent verbal/ written communication and presentation skills
  • Strong understanding of client treasury processes and technology and skill in crafting value-add solutions to meet client needs
  • Self-starter
  • Proven negotiation and active listening skills
  • Excellent critical/strategic thinking and problem resolution skills
  • Strong business/financial acumen
  • Demonstrates the ability to foster strong partnerships with teammates and the ability to build sincere rapport with client contacts
  • Successfully maneuvers throughout the enterprise
  • Effectively manages risk while balancing the needs of the client, the team, and the bank
  • Able to effectively work in a fast paced environment
  • B.A. or B.S. in a relevant field
