Head of TA Strategic Growth

Responsible for profitable business growth and volume development across the TransAtlantic trade lane, for developing focused, targeted sales strategy to acquire key trade lane accounts, for developing specific focused sub-trade lane focus based on market conditions, and for defining the target customer (e.
g.
customer volume, segment, commodities) to ensure Sales team focusing on accounts that are aligned with Trade Growth Strategy.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
• Responsible (along with Branch management and Sales) to drive business development and monitor performance against new business wins.
• Responsible (along with Branch Management and Key Accounts) to ensure and support profitable customer retention.
• Accountable to improve Ocean Product knowledge within Sales Organization in order to drive profitable growth • Accountable to consolidate and create Marketing Material and Market Intelligence focused on specific trade related key growth areas and risks.
• Active Engagement in all medium/large volume tender / rfq meetings and discussions with customers • Active engagement in key identified retention customers QBR's.
• Lead a team of pricing and quotations analysts ensuring effective service delivery to internal and external customers • Ensuring accurate and quick turnaround of quotations; and continuous follow up on hit rate percentage to consistently understand market trends and internal shortcomings.
• Jointly responsible with Trade Teams for creating and maintaining 'Minimum SELL Rates' (MSR) for an agreed Trade Lane portfolio • Jointly responsible with Implementation team to support successful implementation of new business into Ocean Operations Deliverables & Achievables:
ü Ensure profitable volume performance of an agreed Trade Lane portfolio against a budget ü Ensure that trade lane knowledge within the Trade Operations and Sales team is consistently being refreshed ü Ensure that new business pipeline reviews are consistent with Trade Lane priorities - focused towards targeted customer profiles ü Act in a manner which increases employees and Customer satisfaction and loyalty, maximizes shipment profitability ü Support a positive, attractive working atmosphere and office environment ü Maintain regular communication to Branches and Sales Team on performance of trade in business growth, Trade Market Information and Intelligence

Must have exceptional leadership, critical thinking, time management, problem solving, and organization skills with ability to perform well under pressure.
Must possess attention to detail and able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Results oriented with an ability to prioritize, organize, and manage time effectively.
Must be fluent in written and spoken English.
Familiarity with continuous improvement methodology and the ability to lead customer process reviews and QBR's is required.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
Master's Degree preferred.
10 years Freight Industry and 5 years Management experience required.
