Work Cell Associate

Job Description

The Work Cell Associate Inspects, tests, assembles, programs, and repairs all appliances. Associate will be trained on the products. Has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the electronics field.

Troubleshoot and repair products, possibly to the component level. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Employee will work under immediate supervision. Employee will report to a supervisor or manager.

Interfaces with internal and external customers, auditors, and management as needed. Quality is the responsibility of all employees, who must have a thorough understanding of the quality policy and the appropriate procedures, standards, and actions as they apply to process and product activities, and as directed by the employee’s team leader/supervisor.

This employee will also be required to do any and all tasks deemed necessary by his/her supervisor for the safe and efficient operation of the company. Such tasks may include those with more specialized training such as wiring, hand held torch operation, & basic hand/ power tools. Familiarly with windows and mac software programming.

The Production Technician position encompasses all tasks involved in the assembly/manufacturing of all our Product lines.

It is common to move from one department to another occasionally, including Warehouse/Inventory, shipping/receiving, RMA processing, and Service Parts.

REQUIREMENTS: The requirements are as follows:

  • Must be able to concentrate in a busy work environment and be detail-oriented in order to maintain a high level of quality, keep accurate accounts of time and production, keep production on schedule, and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Must be Mechanically Inclined
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must be able to work with various personalities while maintaining cooperative working relationships.
  • Must be able to walk, sit and/or stand throughout an eight or ten-hour day.
  • Must be able to consistently lift 50 lbs. from a floor or table position to chest high using a proper lifting technique.
  • Must be PC literate and familiar with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Must be detail oriented with all aspects of their work.
  • Must be able to build, test, evaluate and troubleshoot products, possibly to component level, following guidelines that will comply with quality and engineering change order compliance.
  • Complete paperwork and obtain parts using proper procedures.
  • Assist in quality and productivity improvement activities.
  • Must be able to understand and interpret a bill of material (BOM)
  • Must be able to assist in the evaluation of new test procedures and provide constructive feedback.
  • Must be able to Use standard bench top test equipment.
  • Should be a self-starter and able to cope with working within strict deadlines.
