Product Owner, CDM

Overview

The vision for our Enterprise Data Platform/Marketplace is to connect data to people and applications across Lennar and beyond. The Enterprise Data Platform/Marketplace Product Owner will play a key role in ensuring that Lennar’s associates can seamlessly access and share trusted and business ready data assets that help make data-driven decisions that lead to improved business outcomes. The Product Owner will be responsible for understanding and executing the strategic direction of the larger data and analytics portfolio and translating that direction into product roadmaps, user stories, and product specification, among others. This role will collaborate with various business, technology and operations team members and leaders to help collect and analyze business needs and desired outcomes to focus data product strategy and direction within Lennar.



Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end product lifecycles for the Enterprise Data Platform and Enterprise Data Marketplace
  • Work closely with data consumers to understand data, information, and insight needs across the various employee journeys
  • Plan and prioritize product capability/feature roadmap based on intended business outcomes and estimated ROI
  • Establish and publish quality metrics
  • Ensure strong alignment between the data team and the business teams
  • Assist in defining, measuring, and monitoring product KPIs and drive continuous improvement through measurement and monitoring
  • Proactively communicate status, risks etc to leadership and other Lennar stakeholders
  • Partner closely with the Enterprise Data Management team to optimize data management practices centered around the products
  • Lead, run, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, business partners, and other stakeholders
  • Drive adoption of data products
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in data and analytics product development practices, methods, and technologies
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Deliver business value by working closely with Product Management to create and maintain a product backlog according to business value or ROI
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionality
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends


Qualifications



Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Master's degree preferred (Computer Science, Engineering or other relevant area)
  • 10+ years in the data and analytics space, delivering data, information, and/or insights to improve business performance
  • 4+ years in a product management/ownership role, responsible for developing and executing on product roadmap
  • Thirst to help transform Lennar into an insights-driven organization
  • In depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and demonstrable project management accomplishments in the areas of data and analytics
  • Demonstrated success as a product owner in delivering data and analytics products that help drive improved business outcomes
  • Ability to learn business processes quickly to understand the current role that analytics plays in supporting the business, and to propose new ways that analytics can be leveraged
  • Experience working with data warehouses and data marketplaces
  • Proven attention to detail while meeting multiple deadlines and working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment
  • Software Development Life Cycle methodologies, including defining requirements, system design and quality assurance desired
  • Expertise in business process design and documentation methodologies and design and production of quality deliverables, process and use-case modeling, and business case development
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Proven history of delivery
  • Team player with strong work ethic and integrity. 



Physical Requirements:

This is primarily a sedentary office position which requires he position to have the ability to operate computer equipment. Finger dexterity is necessary.

 

Additional Requirements:

 

  • Travel up to 20% of the time to Divisions within the Lennar family.
