Client Care Specialist

Capital District Veterinary Referral Hospital is expanding and is looking to add a Client Care Specialist to join our growing specialty and emergency team.

Shift: This position will be full-time and requires evening hours, required to work 1 weekend shift each week. Must be flexible.

About the Role: The Client Care Specialist will have the opportunity to interact with our clients and staff through out their shift and is a pivotal part of our team in providing unsurpassed veterinary health care. This position has the opportunity to provide exceptional client service skills at all times and is frequently the first point of contact for the clients we serve. This is a great position for someone with exceptional customer service skills. Some of the essential responsibilities are to:

  • Educate and advise clients regarding CDVRH services, products and practices
  • Prepare and review documents and medical records accurately and completely
  • Assisting clients with general information, appointments and invoicing
  • Admit and discharge pets from appointments and services and schedule follow-ups as needed
  • Accurately update and maintain client/pet records and files in accordance with Ethos and legal requirements


  • Qualified candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills and able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
  • The right candidate will have a fundamental knowledge of windows based computer programs.
  • Ability to recognize and seek guidance in all client-related cases where protocol does not apply.
