Cybersecurity Solutions Architect

We are the Innovation & Strategy team within Global Information Security’s Cybersecurity Technology (CST) organization and we are responsible for helping to create and deliver product road maps, strategies and requirements for control areas such as Data Loss Prevention, Incident Response and Analyst Tools in support of our cybersecurity program. We are a dynamic organization focused on thoughtful, innovative technology product solutions to the organization’s complex security system needs.

We’re looking for a Systems Architect who wants to have a huge impact on the foundation of our cybersecurity technology products; someone who is excited to help take our data-driven strategy to the next level. This role is a true hybrid. Your stakeholders will be engineers, developers, analysts, and all of our end users.

You will:

  • Define and drive an engagement strategy for cybersecurity defensive technology, capabilities, and data within the larger ecosystem of financial services, cybersecurity defenders, and technology vendors.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders (defenders, developers, analysts) to extract business and technical requirements, map them into strategic priorities, and define technical roadmaps, requirements, and design specifications that can be absorbed into buy or build teams for rapid execution.
  • Communicate, influence, negotiate and drive consensus both vertically and horizontally to achieve service and delivery objectives
  • Work with research, architecture, engineering, development, operations and defender leadership to clarify alignment of strategic priorities across organization, and ensure coordinated execution on strategic cross-functional priorities.
  • Elicit and unearth unmet customer needs through research, data analysis, user experience analysis and testing as well as working with our data scientists, analysts, engineers, architects, product managers and our end users to develop and deliver business requirements and product requirements to the technology teams.
  • Deliver on rigorous, quantifiable business objectives within a matrixed organization using both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Connect data points, research and other insights into a clear articulation of needs and wants (derived from a variety of sources, including survey data, qualitative research, industry analysis and benchmarking, customer interviews, and internal process analysis.
  • Drive a clear strategy for prioritization and execution based on these needs and wants, setting clear goals and metrics that can measure the effectiveness of initiatives post-implementation, and throughout the lifecycle of a technology solution.
  • Be an advocate for your area of focus within the organization, serving as the voice of your customers and advocating for the strategies, designs and plans to best achieve desired outcomes.
  • Lead projects through the definitional stages, working to ensure that we’re working to solve the right problem and have clearly articulated problem statements, requirements and goals identified.
  • Manage the backlog of smaller stakeholder wish-list items, working with stakeholders to quantify the benefits and prioritize these items.
  • Collaborate with multiple groups and disciplines to drive a cohesive effort across the organization.
  • Assist in the definition and articulation of a vision and roadmap for our products.
  • Develop deep domain expertise in cybersecurity defender-related areas, such as system integration design and our front-end tooling & infrastructure.

Your contributions to our dynamic organization:

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience working on operations systems and complex system integration-related strategies, initiatives and/or as a product manager.
  • Excellence-level business requirements definition.
  • Proficiency with UML.
  • A technical and analytical background.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, and an understanding and appreciations of the value of clear and respectful communication across all levels of the organization.
  • A personality that is comfortable with ambiguity while being focused on delivery.
  • A team player mentality, comfortable working with engineers, data scientists, analysts, product managers and end users across the organization on complex problems.
  • Very strong opinions on complex system integration and architecture, data security, data privacy and data ethics.
  • An endless curiosity and excitement to explore system architecture concepts in pursuit of a question or hypothesis.
