 TRAVELING NANNY/GOVERNESS, LIVE-IN Division: Executive HospitalityRef ID:    R4649216618Location:  Austin, TX & Victoria, BCSalary: $60,000 - $75,000  Job Title: Traveling Nanny/Governess, Live-In (Austin, TX & Victoria, BC) Job Description A growing family who resides in Austin, TX seeks an experienced Nanny to care for and supervise a Toddler boy, and a new baby on the way. The right candidate should have great knowledge working with children and must be flexible to adapt to the family’s needs. This is a full-time, live-in position primarily based out of Victoria, British Columbia during the 2021-2022 school year. The family would return to their main residence in Austin, TX but only after the school year. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Mainly day-to-day responsibility to look after the toddler, a newborn, and helping engage the 12-year-old when she is not in school
  • Assisting with daily care; creating a safe, educational, and nurturing environment
  • Tidying up after child; ensuring bedroom and play areas are consistently maintained 
  • Organizing recreational and educational activities
  • Drop-off/Pick-up from school & day-care and to any extracurricular classes
  • Ensuring the safety of the child always
  • Maintaining a constant line of communication and reporting to the parents
  • Organizing the child’s schedule; any appointments, playdates, field trips, etc.
  • Light tidying and cleaning up after the children
  • Running errands and carrying out special requests for the family 
  • Traveling with family as needed
Ages of children: Toddler boy, and a newborn that is on the way, and a pre-teenage girl. Schedule: The typical schedule is 5 days on supporting the family and 2 days off. Compensation: Salary is generous but depends on experience, starting salary is $60K Accommodations: Family is able to offer private room and board within the living quarters. Requirements
  • Educational background in Early Childhood Education, Teaching, or Child Psychology is a plus
  • Certificate in ­­­­­­­­­­­­CPR (infant and child) from accredited program as well as first aid
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of related private home experience
  • Excellent references from both current and previous employers
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Fluency in additional language skills are a plus
  • Flexibility with hours and scheduling; must be available to work weekends
  • Strong swimming skills are a plus
  • Comfortable working with pets; family has one dog 
  • Availability to travel with principals as needed
  • Valid US work authorization
  • Valid Driver’s License 
  • Valid passport
