Technician Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle installation of prototype components and repairs to ensure vehicles are per production intent for testing.

• Assist with preventative maintenance, safety inspections and maintenance inspections.

• Ensure engineering work orders are completed properly and accurately documented to insure work was completed correctly.

• Assist in accurately diagnosing and performing mechanical repairs including the repair of brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, transmission clutches and other repairs under direct supervision.

• Have experience working on vehicle in all areas, chassis and cab on mechanical and electrical components.

• Evaluate completed work prior to release for product testing and approved when required.

• Notify supervisor of potentially issues of components and take corrective action.

Technician Qualifications:

• Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred.

• ASE certifications preferred.

• 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.

• Valid driver’s license required and CDL is great to have

• Must have appropriate mechanic’s tool set.

• Must participate in company safety and training when available

• Good computer skills and detailing work orders.

• Ability to work independently

• Work with others as part of a team.



Job Requirements:

• You’ll be responsible for your assigned daily and weekly tasks and work orders
• Stay on top of your work and components delivery to get the project done
• Be present for meetings and reviews of timelines to keep test team on top of where we stand on their projects.
• Be very detailed in writing up your findings of the components being installed or repairs so that engineering and test teams understand any issues and what was needed to complete your task.
• Be creative when installing prototype products in how to install them correctly, routing lines, updating brackets and clamps to make the best possible production intend of component.
• Be proactive when working to get the best results out of what’s being developed and installed.
• Have good common sense in how to install and avoid any potential issues.
